If you threaten Bersi and Keerava first you don't have to steal the Dibella statue to get the money from Haelga, meaning you can steal it afterwards and keep it instead of giving it to her in return for the money.

My family has a story they love to tell about my first Oblivion playthrough Some dude insulted me, and I decided to rob his house; typical Oblivion things But I was so spiteful I took all his food. I took the books and smatterings of coin. The real bizarre part is I took the fuckin plates too, and silverware. Shit you can’t even sell for anything worthwhile. Everything not nailed down was taken, and I was very overweight, but it was the principle of the matter.

Heres a tip for lockpicking. When you first do lockpicking, do north, east, and west in no particular order. Then, do the ordinal directions, and if you don't get a lead (probably because its like a master lock) then you do the ones between those. On most locks, I can get through them within 2 or 3 lockpicks at worst with this strategy.

Fallout 3,New Vegas and 4 taught me this exact strategy so I use it for those and Skyrim. It’s fairly fun to learn and use subconsciously but sometimes it can really mess with you if Skyrim’s lock pick system go wonky.

Technicaly no you cant *steal* everything (legitimately) because not everything is marked owned. You can still take it but its not stealing. If you were really determined I belive there is a pickpocket bug you can use to get things marked owned THEN steal them.

No offense, but WOW do you suck at lockpicking. Here's a free tip, in case that isn't all an act... The position of the sweet spot doesn't change unless you exit the lockpicking minigame. So once you find one end of the right spot, you can begin working from there... If it were Oblivion lockpicking, then I would understand sucking at it. But this FO3/Skyrim style "Turn until it opens" is easy as pie.
