Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it. The Capitol "C" Church, as we use the word today, is not found in the entire Book of Revelation. Individual church bodies in ancient Asia Minor are found. In Revelation 12:11 we find those under the blood of the Lamb. A person cannot be under the blood of the Lamb and not be a part of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ. Verse 12 of this passage proves at least part of the tribulation period is the wrath of Satan upon the people of God. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rapture is a doctrine of demons. Even Paul says that tribulation is in store for believers in Messiah 1 Thess 3.4. And as you say, Messiah warns that it is believers who will suffer. Those who do not love their life to the death will be saved. Rev 12.11, 20.4

I believe the rapture has to happen before the mark of the beast comes, because I am sealed unto the day of redemption, if I somehow accidentally take the mark of the beast, then God lied and I am no longer saved. Paul dispels these false rumours by writing a second letter in which he gives the sequence of events which must happen before Jesus returns to gather his elect.. So 1st Thessalonians must be understood in the light of Paul's clarification as set out in 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2. where he says that the apostasy and the revealing of the man of sin must happen before the return of Christ.

The best I can explain is the Greek word for “in”, when looking at Revelation 13:16, is “epi”. The Strong’s Concordance contains a list of definitions and two of those definitions are “on” and “upon”. Couple that with the Greek word for “mark” in all 8 instances of the word in Revelation is “charagma”. This means scratch, etching, or stamp. This is likely why many translations use the word “on” instead of “in”.

Just because you're a Christian doesn't mean you've gone through the process of accepting Jesus as Lord. You could've simply been born Christian, which isn't the same until you claim HIM. Same with a 'lukewarm Christian'. Further, even if you have accepted Jesus as Lord, God is still allowing the mark as a final test to make sure you're a true believer. Also, keep in mind the mark is also for non-believers. Remember, this is the the devil's final trick to get people to follow him through all eternity.

If they fear the world, or love the world and still don't believe Jesus after seeing him back at Mt Zion in Rev 14:1, then it's their lack of judgment that will cause them to accept the mark, not force.
