Not to mention the beautiful beaches and the kindest people I've EVER met. That's coming from a girl who's also been to china, Thailand, Japan, the US and of course Korea. I even had met a Filipino boyfriend that totally looked like a Korean (no double eyelids and spoke American English,pale skin and fashionable) just sharing though.

thats because Filipinos are mixed. @bee51208 жыл бұрын
Horny Aleks You are confusing the terms "race", "ethnicity", and "nationality". "Race" is the physical characteristics of a person (skin colour, eye colour, hair colour). "Ethnicity" refers to the cultural aspects of the person such as their ancestry. "Nationality" is the person's relationship with their political state/country they were born or live in. You can have multiple ethnicity and nationality , such as Egyptian Italian or Japanese American but only one race (even if mixed race -- that's still a separate category within race). Btw, Arabs aren't only Muslims (but predominantly more of them are). There are also Christian Arabs. Just like how not every American is necessarily a Christian or Jewish.

Filipino's look similar with Malaysians and Indonesians since we do share the same ancestry (its unclear who came from where. Whether the Malay people went from south then north to the Philippine or from north to south) and our nations has been interacting before Europeans colonized that part of Southeast Asia. We also traded with the Chinese a lot during pre-colonial times and there were Chinese merchants who chose to migrate in Southeast Asia. Asian doesnt mean anything. It just means you're from the continent of Asia. It's pointless to have pride in that. It's like if Americans and Mexicans talked about "North American pride" They dont, because it's stupid to have pride in your continent. Have pride in your culture. Asian is not a culture

Actually filipinos are mixed race, it's really hard to distinguish specially now that half of the population were like half breed. And besides philippines were colonized by spain for 300 yrs. that's why we are hard to identify wether we are full blood or half.
@mrtechgamer30265 жыл бұрын
najmalyn kirol We are not half bred. Stop dreaming.
@@najahkirol2543 There is nothing wrong with my grammar, and I wouldn't be surprised if you don't know that. FYI, you have to use 'especially' and not 'specially'; put 'the' before the word 'Philippines'; capitalise the first letter of all countries as they are proper nouns; and use 'whether' rather than 'wether'. Honestly, it is not my job to correct your grammar or spelling. What I am pointing out is you are being delusional by saying Filipinos are a mixed race when we are not. You are giving non-Filipinos a wrong impression. You have to admit what you said is an utter lie.
@trba_biko5 жыл бұрын
@@mrtechgamer3026 @MrTechGamer I agree. We cannot truly call certain Pinoy "half-breeds" or the Philippines a "mixed race". We cannot take too seriously what race is either, such as how our phenotypic features should not determine whether we are Pinoy or not (e.g. Is someone Filipino/not Filipino if they have epicanthal folds, wavy/curly hair, and/or darker skin?). Yes the Spanish colonized us for almost 400 years, as the Americans for almost 50, and imperial Japanese occupation-- but we cannot limit ourselves to our subjugation; we were trading all around before and have large communities overseas now. I believe we are hurting ourselves by referring to ourselves as such, believing in what might be the one true kind of Filipino, which is why we have so much hostility with each other.

So I saw a lot of people saying Filipinos are great in speaking English. I’m here to say why. First of all, Filipinos can learn different accents, because Philippines was colonized by Spain, Japan, and America, which made it easier for Filipinos to adapt or learn different accent. Second is, Filipinos are required to learn English in schools and university. Third, in some instances, Filipinos are required to speak in English, like when you’re an English major teacher or you’re in a big company *presentations and such* Fourth, some *I don’t know if most* Filipinos in Manila speak half English half Filipino language. Fifth, Filipinos in the Philippines have different accents since there are different dialects in the Philippines. The most common dialect is called Tagalog. Sixth, a lot of people in the Philippines know more than two languages, which practices the Filipinos in learning different language. 😊 I hope this information is much clearer and understandable. I live in Canada, and the only Filipinos I know who struggle with their accents are those who were from provinces like Ilocos and Bicol. But most Filipinos can keep up 😊

People who lives around Asians or in Asian countries can fairly differentiate different type of Asians. But it would be difficult for even Asians to differentiate. It's like a white person from UK would have difficulties identifying nationalities of White people among American, British, Irish, German and Scottish by just looking at them.
