Day 6 of the Tiny Bike Tour 2 and it did not disappoint. A few rolling repairs we started to make some real ground.
After the generosity and hospitality we have been shown all over the south west it was a shock to hit Guildford which is full of tossers.
We were tarp camping in bad weather as well as riding in heavy rain which took it till on the bikes
We are doing a 1000 mile loop of the South Coast on 54 year old 2 stroke mopeds. Moped touring is a real challenge but definitely worth it as you get to absorb the views at 30 mph.
The bikes we chose for this adventure were a 1970 Puch Maxi and a 1970 BSA Ariel 3.
Motocamping at it's finest. Along the way we will be wild camping as much as possible as well as making the most of strangers hospitality.
This is all to raise some funds for Combat Stress which is a veterans mental health charity so please consider donating.

So sorry you had to experience guildford and surrey at its best, that said we aren't all stuck up toffs,if I'd have known you were passing through or I'd seen you I'd definitely have helped,I'm only ten minutes from where you were,I'd have put you both up for nothing. Come to Germany and tour here. We are not friendly, either, but you would not expect us to be ;-) Sad to hear of those calamities. You might want to check out the "Männertours" channel, they use ...aehm..comparable equipment, and made it with GDR bikes, old Honda mopeds etc. to Croatia or Italy. Or didn't make it-same problems, same weather, more guys and more spare parts ;-) Doesn't help a lot, though. But they have the honored "Pannenschnaps" tradition-on each breakdown they have to drink a shot. Sometimes they didn't even make it 200m from the start ;-) Maybe you could do a collaboration. International tour de depannage, or such ;-) Stay strong, and I hope for nicer weather and people for you two!
