I need to add a correction, the HDMI does in fact pass audio so no external mic is needed as long as you are close to the camera.

You're welcome! i think it looks good and I added a correction to the description. The HDMI does pass the mic audio through. I misread the label in OBS. And because the wide angle lens has the camera really close it actually sounds pretty good. I probably won't do a follow up video on the mic BUT I think I'll build a little temporary bracket and actually use that camera to do a video and I'll make note in the video that that's what I'm using. Thanks Jeremy! It, like most action cameras has a lot of fisheye but one I dropped the exposure a bit I thought the color was good. BTW: it was bugging me about the sound so I went back and sure enough the HDMI does pass the sound through and because the camera is so close the mic sounds good.
