Can You Use Umbrellas Instead of a Parachute?

In this video I test if it is possible to use umbrellas instead of a parachute. I test it by holding onto two large umbrellas as I jump off of different things into a pool. I compare this to when I'm not holding the umbrella and see how much they slowed me down. Then I talk about if umbrellas could be used to replace a parachute during skydiving!

When I was 8, I tried jumping into a giant pile of sand with a big umbrella from 2nd floor. I took the same precautions with strings to avoid it from being bent. But many of the arms broke and it took me like 5 minutes to climb back from inside of the sand pile.

I was jumping from my bed like this when I was about 5. Maybe the umbrellas didn't work, but I had fun for like half am hour which was a long time of rest for my parents lmao
