Snow and Curt came to The Magic Island to see the beautiful beaches that they have heard so much about. They did not expect to fall madly in love with this area. They expected to stay a day or two... but, now, who knows when this van life couple will head back to the mainland! In this episode they dicover a fun beach that Snow names "PARTY BEACH" and they take a nature hike to some hidden pools... where there are a lot og giant boulders to climb on! Hi both These videos of Brazil are so amazing. Food looks delicious and plenty of it. Looks a gorgeous place and I envy you so much touring the country. The weather there looks gorgeous. The turtle looks happy anyway venturing into the sea. They come up to fishing boats covered in barnacles asking for help bless them. Am all for helping out if I can. We call the diving birds "Martinho Pescador" which I guess could freely translate to "Fishing Martin" or something like that, not sure about the actual proper name. Guys, if you want to visit some nice places go to Portobelo, which is up north from Florianópolis. It's about an hour long driving. Some of the beaches you'll find are sepultura, bombinhas, perequê, caixa D'aço... really nice over there.

Yes, me too, when the turtle hit the water and his little flippers started pumping at breakneck speed, that's when I lost it. I wish people had the same compassion for farm animals that suffer so horrendously in order for us to eat them. They are living breathing sentient animals with friends and loved ones. Culture has taught us to turn a blind eye.

I love seeing how, wherever you travel, the people are welcoming and are pleased that you are appreciating their homeland. This video was especially beautiful. I needed a beach day too, and could almost feel the softness of the sand between my toes. Thanks Snow! And, you are not a baby, you simply have a good heart. I don't cry easily, but got choked up while watching the rehabilitated turtle return to the sea. I remember staying at Barra da Lagoa beach some 20 years ago. We'd have those anchovy-based dishes every day, because they were cheaper and delicious! Fresh fish, right from the vicinity.

Actually these little monkeys (marmoset) are originally from Brazil northeast but they spread to the south of Brazil because human's actions.

Love this! Since you guys are sticking around, here are some nice beautiful hikes to do: Pontal da Daniela - easy walk on the beach to where you can see downtown and the islands main bridge. Canajure: go to Jurere and walk from beach to beach all the way to Praia da Galega. This one feels like exploring a secret paradise. Costa da Lagoa - pretty famous hike trail but for a reason. Go to Canto dos araçás and hike all the way to the restaurants at Costa da Lagoa. Have a nice meal overlooking the lagoon and ride a boat back to the starting point. It will be stop #3. Hope you guys continue to have an amazing time!

It's wonderful that many of our wild animals can be nursed back to health in sanctuaries. Curt and his rocks made me nervous! LOL. I loved the woodpecker sighting. I'm a bird nut!

Ask locals for good places to visit, usually we remember the famous places like "Balneário do Camboriú" (50 miles from you), but there are a lot of little-known places to visit. There are a lot of beautiful places to visit in Brasil, I hope you enjoy it a lot.
