I've been a welder for 38 years now and this guy's knowledge is gold. When he says you never stop learning he's 100% correct and I just learned a bunch today. Outstanding.

This is the best video yet I do welding repairs myself and this guy is incredible with welding knowledge. I enjoy welding aluminum I use helium too it takes a 200 amp welder turns it into a 400 amp machine. Wish I had a good teacher like that to learn from....

Thats the 1 problem with a guy like that. 50 years working by himself not teaching anyone his tricks. Although it does seem like he is very willing to teach some things to someone that wants to learn. I just had a similar situation with my local automotive machine shop. The guy worked by himself for 35-40 years I tried to get him to work with me and I would buy the business when he was ready to retire asked numerous times and he never agreed to anything. The guy had a few rounds with cancer the building went for sale all the equipment sold and all his years of knowledge didn't get passed on to anyone.

People with skills like this can pretty much name their price. We need to be pushing our youth into skilled trades like this, HVAC, etc, instead of poisoning their minds in these indoctrination camps (aka universities) that send them out in the workforce with worthless liberal arts degrees.

69 years old and still working 12 hour days. Can't imagine he does it because he has too. Just a true passion for welding. The reason he is the best.

His shops across from mine. He’s the man. He does crazy work and doesn’t mind helping us weld up anything we need on our equipment

Steve, one thing I learned and I'm in my mid 60's. Never stop learning and be humble at all times. Chris has shown you and the rest of us some great information that wouldn't be taught in a classroom. Thanks, Steve

I’ve been watching KZbin welding videos for years. This guy is at another level. It’s like watching a virtuoso musician. Absolutely feel like I’ve been brushed by greatness seeing this guy.
