Man what a beast of a cnc. Awesome job who wrote the code to make this. I dabbled in cnc with my last job. Had the pleasure of writing the code to design and make a passenger side brake pedal set up for a Lamborghini using oem bolt mounting points. Boss showed me how to draw a circle and a square then said “have at it”! Turned out awesome

Steve You could also rent lapeer dragway I'm sure . That would be closer for him . Its not all nice pit lanes and is struggling under city complaints under new ownership. Drama . Its a nice fairly new drag strip on the lanes . 8 seconds not a problem. I know a guy that's friends with the new owner . May be able to make it happen. Give me a shout back or contact lapeer dragway directly. Have a great day

Ask an aussie. Im an aussie. 650-750hp in an engine that is built and balanced to hold 6500-7500 rpm on the limiter for 3-4 minutes non stop. Need to gear it to hold 140-200 kmph at that rpm. Engine cooling must be an overkill. Need to tub whatever car it is heavily to tuck those 15-16 inch wheels under there which take no wider than a 225-235 tyre. Reason being so you can simply swap the wheels and minimise damage to the vehicle. Rear brakes and parking brakes are non existant. Keep it strong and simple.

I am new to racing and I just brought a C8 stingray corvette. Is it possible to drop one of your powerful engines into my C8? I want it to be loud and fast because if you are not first, you’re last! Lol

With the anodizing on the caps and the block, did that have to be accounted for when machining each for the thickness of the anodizing to have the proper clamp on the bearing itself?

You're talking about getting more water out of the brake, but I'm wondering if the inlet is restricted causing cavitation, or maybe there is some air in the water supply somehow. Maybe use a well water pressure tank as a sort of accumulator, to insure solid air free supply water.

There was a Air force base at blytheville till sometime in the 70s. Used to drag race there when they would open it up to races. Other times I would race at George Ray's dare devil drag strip. It opened I believe in the early 60s and still going strong

Blytheville is about 30 miles from my hometown of Joiner Arkansas. Home of Alvin Bennett of Alvin and the chimkmonks. Also hometown of MSO. The gentleman that won the car is in for a treat. I'm sure he can hit his personal best in sugar mama. To bad I didn't win but it's ok this way he can have a great time with it

Steve makes a video talking about you should not have 90 degree corners in an engine block and then shows one that was clearanced for the crank and it has 90 degree corners now with that said IDK if he means on parts that only have a inch or two of height or if there should not be any 90 degree corners on all the structural parts of the block

Absolutely no reason to try and get that last .25* degreeing the cam ! Lol that’s about as close as you can get a lot of the time, I’ve also ran into the same problem where I’ve had to move the belt/chain 1 tooth to get it degreed correctly, not a big deal but this shows why its absolutely imperative to degree your camshaft on every new combination!
