I feel like some of his anger is justified. Team-mates not only have text above their heads, but team-mates grabbed by smokers have bright orange outlines. L4D2 is a cooperative game. You need to cooperate. To ignore the orange outline you either have to be blind, or doing it intentionally. Or new to video games entirely.

There is a great mod for SG and MP5 that fixes the animations to be like other l4d2 animations. L4D1+2 remix by Querentin, aside of all base weapons it also was made for sg and mp5 with model tweaks to make them 100% inline with l4d2 other weaps. Similar could be done for awp and scout using CSGO animations mods. As for balance changws they should increase damage for AWP and Scour 2 fold and reduce the clipsize.

i don't play versus mode, so i'm more used to playing against zombie bots than some people, but… left 4 dead is meant to be a heavily-replayable experience. lots of thing are randomised, and also depend on the mode and how well you're doing. when playing online, with other players, the unpredictability of how other players will act also adds an element of randomness; all that randomness helps keep things interesting, interesting enough for me not to get sick of it. of course, i haven't played online campaign mode in while, because i have my left 4 dead 2 loaded up with hundreds of addons, both workshop and sourcemod. there are lots of addons out there that also help in adding more randomness to the game, making survivor bots better at surviving, making zombie bots more difficult to counter, and much more. a lot of people don't like offline gameplay for the survivor bots, but mods do help with that. with all this in mind, i rarely get sick of playing as a survivor. it doesn't get boring and monotonous to me, because it's a different experience every time. maybe not a completely different experience, but different nonethless. i hope this adequately answered your question! :)

@@johnnyclueless Why not? After TLS update, its arch is fixed, and it's viable again. It has the fastest swing in the game and a lot of hitrays, making it really good against hordes. The only downside is with it's range being shorter than most other melees, but I don't think range really matters unless you would be trying to level a charger, cutting a smoker tongue or melee skeet a hunter. The knife is comparable, if not better, to the katana and machete, at least in my opinion.
