I really like this movie. The whole "you have 1 true love and thats it" mindset can be pretty toxic, especially when someone loses a partner like drac did. Im so happy for this movie being "oh yeah you can zing more than once" for moving away from that trope

Drac loved Martha. We all know he did - and that he still does. He loved her and he mourned her for over 120 years. Everything he did he did for her memory. He raised and protected their daughter. He built the hotel in her memory so that their daughter and their friends and all other monsters could be safe. And know they are. Now they live in a time when they can go out into the open without fear. Now they are accepted as well as protected. And now their daughter is safe, happy, in love and with a child of her own. Dracula has lived for Martha for over a century. It's time he started to live for himself now, and that includes opening his heart to a new love. And in any case, learning to love again doesn't mean you forget or stop loving your first real love.

My headcanon is that a monster zings again if/when they're really ready to move on and find a new soulmate. No one's heard of it being done before because most monsters resign themselves to loneliness, or they already have the notion that nobody can/will ever fill the void left behind. But Drac was ready to find love. He had everything else. Great friends, a beloved daughter, a grandson he would die for, heck, he even had his old man back in his life. But he was missing someone to love. He was ready to move on, so he was able to zing again.

I think that the Macarena scene was the biggest highlight of this film for me, always fun to watch. That, and when Dracula was dancing on the ship as Erika kept failing to kill him, lol! Another fun HT reaction and I can’t wait to see the next film, Transformania.🙂

Personally I really like the third movie, I liked the way they brought Van Helsing into the franchize and I really love the beginning of the movie and wished we could get more backstory scenes of Drac and his friends from way before the Hotel and stuff as short movies or or a series or something Speaking of short movies, the puppy, Tinkles, was actually introduced via a short movie called Puppy! that takes place between movies 2 and 3

you know: i like this movie, out of all the movies, took the "ending music number" trope and worked it into the film. the magic controlling the Kraken vs Drac and Johnathan's chilled out music fused with magic to counter the song Van Hellsing is playing makes some sense. not to mention a lot of the tunes are pretty good.

So Cody, from your last reaction to Hotel Transylvania 2 you said that you were going to watch The Lego Movie 1 & 2 (which I am excited for), but there was something that you said that threw me off. You said that the First one was going to be on your friend's channel and the second one is gonna be on your channel. That didn't make any sense.
