Most of my small family preps somewhat. Some of us are more serious. I'm very proud of the younger ones doing it. It will never be enough but we are trying. I have a couple friends who kids are starting to homestead. I was raised in the country so those people get it. My ex father in law was a child during the depression and his parents gave him up when he was a small boy.

My wife and youngest son have been along for the ride long enough I am confident in their ability. Recently, my oldest became part of the equation again and he and his wife need some training

This is what I have tried so hard to do, grown kids refuse to learn how to process chickens, husband refuses, tried to show them what to grow when, how to take care of the garden, they just refuse, I told them ok if I fall dead and poop has hit the fan and you can’t get food, no work, water isn’t flowing from the dang faucet you got to know what to do!! Hubby just said to me stop your BS. 😩 wtf? I told him all my canning, dehydrating and stocked food will one day run out!! It takes doing it , growing spring, summer, fall to keep pantry stocked !! The guns I have bought, ammo we both have stocked and check won’t mean a damn thing if you starve to death! Or are without water because you won’t help me set up these 8 300 gallon totes!! He says you want them you will figure it out ( I already have a list of what I am buying to do just that but damn it all I feel like I am the only one who is pulling his 400lb tail up a mountain with no wheels) I refuse to feel defeated so I just keep doing what I am doing, I show his the books incase I am not here, can up more because we all know it takes 2 years growing to really get the hang of it a little and maybe he is listening when I say it takes 58-120 days for some veggies to harvest so you can’t wait till your down to a few jars to move!! By then it’s too late . I can only pray and keep praying for his eyes to be opened. Grown kids just leave and go home, I tell them those video games, drawing Anime are not any skills !! Let me show you but they don’t want to get their hands dirty, say no we are fine 🙄 and that I need serious help. How many times do I hear I am loosing my mind b4 I start to believe it?

Congratulations accepted Billy over half of my family members aren’t on board even my wife she has never been to my off grid cabin yet I’ve had it since 2022 I’ve told them I’m getting out when shtf I guess there too busy with the modern conveniences Billy the only one that have been up there is three of my grandsons which the older one doesn’t want to go back because of the lack of stupid Wi-Fi which I like the two younger ones are being taught skills about living off grid like fire starters and safety of fire and shooting skills cooking cleaning up messes how to stay warm with the right kinds of wood and other things that they need to know buddy if and when shtf I’ve told them I’m gone !!

My family doesn’t support me at all in my preparedness. They refuse to learn or contribute to anything in my preparedness. I’ll just keep my post to that. I won’t get into how I feel about that.
