I just finished bulding my new PC in this case, more than 2 years after it came out I chose it because I wanted a beQuiet! one and to me it's the most beautiful one they've made so far (also using a Dark Rock Pro 4, 2 additional Silent Wings 3 and a Straight Power 11 750W gold PSU, this is a full beQuiet! build) the fact the price is still as high as it was at release proves to me it is still very relevant to this day. This video was very good, glad that I found your review!

Now this is a case I can sink my teeth into. I'm currently using the Bitfenix Prodigy M, an inverted motherboard case that I wish was larger to allow for more options in setting up....this case solves that easily. While the price is a bit on the high side, I've spent more for less flexibility before. Great job showing it off, that really looked like a ton of work!

That's a neat case, especially with the handle bars. I agree the price is pushing it, then again the NZXT H700i is a $200 and it's a mid tower. If you've got the change to spend on it, I'd go for it. Even with the restriction on airflow, the added 2 silent wing fans got the job done in combination with the Dark Rock Pro 3. It's pretty average in terms of cooling, but the versatility with this case is the what really draws me to it!

Excellent case! I won mine from a competition so I paid nothing alone with a power supply and 280mm aio. I just wish the manual had everything it done on there rather than me going on KZbin and finding out everything it does over time.

Yes my "PC case can do this" I bought the same case many years ago, still have it and use it every day, it has seen many different CPU's from a i7-5930K to a i9-9900k to currently i7-13600k All with Dark Rock 4 Pro and a Silent loop 2. Great case good quality and keeps my system nice and cool. PS. I did drill 36 holes in the top panel.

This is the best video I could have possibly imagined to understand my new case. Many thanks for taking the effort!!! The manufacturer should pay you and publish on their site. Please allow me one remark on the case itself: The USB3 cable is so thick I wasn’t able to hide it anywhere and my water cooling mounted at the top is colliding with RAM as the RAM is with LED and by that a bit bulky, it‘s just 2mm, but a p.i.t.a.; also on cable of my beQuiet power supply is too short to reach the very top of the board, so I couldn’t fix all screws of the PSU.

I know I'm a bit late to the party I just wanted to say that this is the most detailed review of the Dark Base 700 on YT, trust me I've seen them all ;) Currently looking for a new case for my new build and the DB 700 is my favourite so far. It's a great case, but it ain't perfect. I think the positives outweight the negatives. It's definitely a case for pc modders and pc enthusiasts. Probably gonna get it, I just wish the front LED would be RBG too :( But maybe I'll find a way to change it ;) Anyway great review!

I'm trying to figure out the correct fan specs for the front of this case. Your review says 2 x 120/140mm in the front, but I've seen this case with the included 140mm fan and a 240mm radiator in the front. It appeared that there was room for three 140mm fans up there. Can you please confirm whether or not you can use three 140mm fans in the front intake or is two 120mm and one 140mm the max? Thanks.

I love this case. Considered purchasing it instead of the Phanteks Enthoo Pro Special Edition. Love Be Quiet in general... but they priced it out of range for most people and most of its competition with what it offers. For instance, if it had been $130-$150 I would have purchased it instead. The Fractal Define R6, and several others including the Enthoo Pro, are better for the price, imho. $180 is just too much. That's IF you can actually get it at that price. I've seen it even higher most of the time recently. Definitely agree that the top and front panels could use some work... ie ventilation. As usual JD... GREAT video and B-roll. Your skill with a camera and editing are going to carry you a long ways man. Now just to work on that cable management lol ;) Real talk man... which case do you prefer this or the Enthoo Pro?

Thanks a ton Neight!! Yeah after tearing down and building into new cases, I just make it look neat from the front and stuff it in the back XD Geee that's a hard question. The Enthoo Pro has an acrylic panel which gets scratched easily. On the flip side, there is the Enthoo Pro M with tempered glass, but it's not the same case with all the drive cages in it, and I personally haven't tested it. For the money I'd go with the Enthoo Pro, even with the acrylic panel. The build quality is excellent for it's price, but if you want the top notch build quality and pay a $80 to $60 premium I'd go with the Dark Base 700. Does that help at all?

at 3:18 i think the screws in my model might be stripped but im unsure, i recently tried to unscrew them to add a case fan up there but they seem to be insanely tight

You definitely have the most extensive and involving review on the channel of this case, but forgot to mention with the guts out it is a test bench n y d rubber feet! That said I still want an install to verify it's perfection of thought in the real world. Kudo's at ur age and press on into d $ and build in em my bud!!!

P.S. I would appreciate an indepth review by u of the newest Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X (not the Evolv ATX or older version). I am spending several $K and leaning towards building in it over the 700, even tho the newest Ev X is difficult to come by currently.

I came to this video for the sole purpose of how the F#&$ do you remove the bottom filter lol I would never of found the tab once removing the front cover. However I completely understand the design choice and it makes it easier to routinely clean the filters. Thanks for the video!

You can not install a fan at the bottom! although provided. Bad design! Two screws are hidden.
