India in fact does have much worse traffic than the US. The thing is, those crazy intersections you see? (Yes, they do exist, and not randomly, they're everywhere) Those intersections don't cause deaths. Moreover, the car ownership in the USA is much more than India and combined with high speed roads, they're at a much greater risk of fatal accidents. A better metric would be deaths per 100,000 cars (but it would be flawed too because a LOT of people use motorcycles too). The closest to ideal metric would be deaths per 100,000 cars passing on the highways. Dear fellow Indians, we really HAVE to improve traffic sense. I'm an Indian btw, not a white guy yapping about his mad crazy experience in India. Traffic is one point that I can NEVER justify
