I have 2 1947 coin pennies one with a maple leaf by the 7 and one without and they both have the IMP. I also have a 1948 no maple leaf by the 8 but with the word rex o the back. I thought you said that that the 47 were supposed to have a maple leaf indicating they were made in 48. Is that right? then why would I have one with the maple leaf? I am confused!

I get going through pennies and forget about time .I have had many wheat backs , and buffalo nickels,ect It's addict - ing . I am always curious about what,s in the next batch ,and they are usually mixed to 1909 to mostly1927 to 2947.I enjoy this hobby .🤑I keep waiting to find my copper 1943 🤩!...
