There are many websites and wiki pages which states if a college is private or public. Furthermore, apply to the main campuses and stop applying to small campus based in Toronto and big places. Those are just to lure kids in their college and partnered with private institutions. The immigration will only become more stricter in coming years so apply to a college wherein you know your future is secure. If you are not sure that the college is private or public which is very basic then it's a risk you are taking with your career and hard earned money.

I know 100s of situations where spouses of a study permit holder get hastle free work permit, and become PR before the student even finishes the program. I personally feel is unfair for unmarried students who come here work hard to finish their program for two years and finish their study and work almost 2 more years to get a job and then secure PR. The journey for married vs unmarried students is unfair. I understand you can't leave your spouse and kids behind but it shouldn't make things unfair for other unmarried students who come year to make their Canadian dream true, just like students with spouses.

Who doesn’t need an attestation letter ? You do not need an attestation letter when applying for a study permit if you’re a student applying for a Masters, PhD or other post-graduate program.

Government should close down 50% of private colleges, as some are perceived as fraudulent operations exploiting their own community members. It's should proposed that most private schools should enroll at least 75% local students and cap international students at 25%. Additionally, it's should recommended that international students be prohibited from working until their third year, to prioritize employment opportunities for local students. Furthermore, it's should proposed that wages for international students be higher, incentivizing companies to hire locals first. The primary reason for international students to come to Canada should be to study 4 year course (not 2 year). Only upon completion of their studies should they be eligible for a work permit and begin contributing to the workforce or go back home. Until then, work opportunities for international students should be restricted.

Hello sir. I'm having a struggle with this new update. I got an admission for the May intake at Conestoga College in Ontario for a two-year diploma program. School resumes on May 6th, and I am not sure if I can wait until March 31st, which is the deadline given to all provinces to work things out. before applying for a visa because I need to be in the country by April for the two-week orientation; waiting until March to apply for provisional attestation will jeopardize everything, particularly since I have already paid fees and GIC.

New applicants for open work permits will have a narrow window (apply now and hope you get approved in time) as they will be announcing in the coming weeks it's only available for spouses of masters and PhD students or those enrolled in professional medical or legal programs.

Under current criteria, the length of a post­graduation work permit is based solely on the length of an individual’s study program, hindering master’s graduates by limiting the amount of time they have to gain work experience and potentially transition to permanent residence. In the weeks ahead, open work permits will only be available to spouses of international students in master’s and doctoral programs. The spouses of international students in other levels of study, including undergraduate and college programs, will no longer be eligible.

You can get it but it only depends upon the type of college and university you are opting for. Only PUBLIC COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES are legible. Aap DLI list of institutions check kar skte ho Canada ki website pe.

if seneca college is public college and you are doing 1 year program then you will get 1 year PGWP. for 3 year PGWP you will need to study for atleast two years.
