Canada is pulling the reins on immigrants entering their country, and how. Fewer number of visas are being approved, and this includes everyone - students, workers, tourists.
On top of everything, in a big move last week, the immigration department of Canada ended the temporary public policy. This means that temporary residents in Canada who hold a visitor visa can no longer apply for a work permit from within Canada.
And of course, earlier Canada had also limited the number of foreign workers employers can hire, limiting it to 10% from the earlier 20%

To young Indian students, avoid Canada. The country needs at least half a decade to recover from the doldrums. You're better off pursing opportunities in the US or back home in India. (Personally, I wouldn't recommend Australia or Europe either - for the same reasons).

honestly if you are good enough to make it in the US fine or else please stay in India and find your way here and in the US don't think it is like canada or asutralia forget green card even getting a student visa is hard as hell and work permitsi.e. h1b is pretty much a lottery for indians so if you are lucky to find a employer who will go out of their way to sponsor you and you literally win a lottery congrats you get three years to work for only that company.😅so best just avoid it all together

Making it in the US is not that easy either. Very difficult pathway to Green card especially if you are born in India. Canada was the last hurrah. Now it is over.🤣🤣🤣😂🙂🙃

Maybe just maybe, all those things u mentioned about india are not true ? We have closed our eyes to any data that might throw a bad light on the ruling govts over the last several years. India has one of the highest youth unemployment(and underemployment) in the world now.

@@dineshabe86 The youth unemployment figures are more or less the same in Canada, UK, and here in AU. It may not show up in news, but that's the ground reality. Indian youth has two basic problems that they need to solve themselves or perish. First, upskill and throw away laziness. Second, enter Blue-collar workforce and non-gov orgs. If everyone wants desk job, then better be unemployed because there is not enough global demand.

@@rishiktiwari your comment is a good example of the problem I am talking about. We r refusing to see. Youth unemployment is 13% in Canada and uk and 8% in Australia. The govts there are sounding alarm bells and they r acting eg this video. Meanwhile Indians want to stay blind. Youth now are more hardworking than ever. Stop blaming people and calling them lazy for a govt failure. Try talking to a graduate in India how difficult it is to get a job. Wat do you want graduates to do? Work as labourers ? What is the point of education then ? Maybe all graduates in India should sell pakoda ? Situation is bad in India, we can realize that or continue to be blind.

You can still move to Canada if you meet the skills that Canada requires. Canada badly needs healthcare professionals. In India, certain programs allow Indians to pursue nursing courses (I think Manipal Academy offers a course that is approved by the Canadian government) and directly get a job in Canada. Way too many Indians are coming to colleges and getting diplomas in business management, marketing, or office administration. That sector is saturated. Canada still needs people in the STEM sector. Join a university and get a degree in science or technology if you still want to move to Canada.

Your information is inaccurate, Visitors can still apply for lmia easily. They have just closed online applications but you will still get work permits on border easily, no questions asked.

Canada is way way better than India 1. I leave my rented 2 million dollar house open 24/7 without keys. 2. My 30k CAD brand new car is mostly unlocked during Night, even thieves take it I have insurance. I don't care 3. I leave my laptop in public library and go for walk. 4. I often but accidentally leave my credit card in market. People who finds are first to report not me. But things are changed fast. Its will not remain safe in future. My gut feeling.

​@Frogger23xx and people they don't believe how much they've changed just the housing alone. My mother who's 52 years old can barely afford rent and can't find other housing as most places are now run/ managed by Indians and they mostly prefer renting to multiple students and people of the sort as they jack the rent and set up their place to house more than legally allowed so they can rack in more money. My canadian mother should have no issue with finding a place and should not struggle pay check to pay check to survive in her own country. It's not fair. And in another point there was a point I went 6 months unable to get anything but these students were getting so quick because employers were giving part wages under the table and could easily play around with them as since it was illegal the student couldn't complain. I know this because my old job worked this way. It got to a point where if u weren't a student they could use (and were canadian) they would push u till u quit or they would find the smallest reason to fire u
