Good, build it. We can't get enough of them. Build them in every city. So many people complain about there not being enough housing, and when someone steps up to do something about it, all we hear are excuses not to make progress. So enough of the passive-aggression, please.

The idea that this is proposed as some kind of solution to our national housing crisis is ludicrous. What matters is obtaining the maximum square footage of glass facing the Falls and how much can be charged for the apartment on the 20th floor.

​@@davidpetersen1 What do you think Niagara Falls is, a bedroom community? People pay all kinds of money to rent a home or condo that's not with a falls view. Now that you mention it, that's what a lot of the condos, if not at least half, would end up being. There's not enough professional or high paying jobs to support the people buying it, so to live there, they'd have to be extremely rich. They probably wouldn't even live there most of the time. Hence, in reassessment, you are right that it would do nothing for the housing crisis AT THIS TIME. This is just another place for the rich to park money. Still, I'm for it and projects like it. The price of residences are out of control, and all it takes is an international interest rate shock to ruin the whole scene. That's probably going to happen. If it does, the value of these units would crash. In that event, it would become affordable housing. Hence, it's wise to have a lot of these condos lying around there for the taking in a financial collapse. I saw that happen in the US after the 2008 mortgage crisis. It's so primed to happen here eventually but much worse. Very few people think that it can happen in Canada, but it really can. Bank on it. A lot of average younger working people think they can never own something like that. If they save whatever they can, plus some help from the folks, they can get it in a financial crisis. So build, baby, build.
