You could come with your family. They will just not receive a work permit so you will have to have the funds to support yourselves while studying.

I think the way things are going if am given the opportunity to suggest to the Universities, I will suggest that they release Masters admission notice as early as possible while they wait for the clarification for attestation by March 31 since Masters and PhD students do not require attestation. In this way, it will reduce congestion at the IRCC's portal when the issue of attestation is finalised.

It depends on your program, whether it is a post graduate or undergraduate program. If your program is an undergraduate program you will definitely need an attestation letter, that means you have to mail your school on what to do, or you can hold on till march. Good luck 🤞

If you can, try and get another Letter of Acceptance for a future intake (either by deferral or apply for admission again) and upload it as a webform to IRCC as soon as you get it. But make sure it's the same program and same school (DLI). Don't worry that your program start date has elapsed, IRCC will sill issue the visa if all other requirements for your eligibility are satisfied. Your study permit itself would be issued at the Canadian border when you arrive, based on the Letter of Acceptance submitted to IRCC. So even if your start date has elapsed, once you upload your new intake date to the portal and submit it physically on your arrival in Canada, the study permit will be issued based on the current date. If your new intake date would extend your schooling beyond the years IRCC would've stipulated on your visa, you'd still be able to start school but you'll have to apply for a study permit extension in good time.

The Canadian embassy will stamp a temporary residents visa on your passport(given from the Canadian embassy in your home country before you travel...and you will need a study permit ( which you will get once you land in Canada)... So you need both if you come here as a student
