At the Centre, the nominees are then subjected to an assessment drive, consisting of a reversing section which includes both straightaways and slight curves, a tight maneuvering section through a concrete-barriered course, and a slalom which must be driven at 50kph. The eight then meet the expert panel for the first time, the panel who provide their initial thoughts.

Krystal low-key drives like I used to when I was little and my parents put me in one of those tiny electric cars for kids... I crashed into anything and everything Edit: I'm starting to feel like this show is becoming more of a single-player demolition derby rather than teaching drivers to drive better PS: the edit was just a joke on the condition of the cars after each season, I actually love the show :) keep up the good work guys

the crazy thing is that they aren't even driving a manual car p.s. i dont mean it as an insult, but I think that Krystal needs to see a therapist, she needs help, clearly has some mental issue

Is it a rule in Canada, that you can't drive a manual car, if you examined on the automatic transmission? Cause I feel like if manual was mandatory, most of them would not been even able to pass an driving exam at all.

Their choice of the car each season are quite genius on many levels: - viewer sees cool car - viewer watches; - cool car being crashed and scraped - viewer feels mental pain = more viewer involvement; - cool car may be sponsored by car company (doubtful about this, due to 2nd take); - cool car is different enough from drivers regular everyday drive - it shatters their confidence. As a result - understanding of their own incompetence behind the wheel.

If I remember correctly, the only reversing manoeuvres in US and CA driving tests are reversing in a straight line and doing a parallel parking manoeuvre, which they give you 3 chances at. That’s definitely doable without mirrors, especially since there’s no section on the public road, but it’s still horrendous to see it happen.
