I haven't been back in about 15 years, but this has always been my favorite tune. The movie, the cool air conditioning, the break from the Florida humidity made this perfect. I have sung this song to myself and the poor souls around me for 25 years! Thanks for posting this version, both are great.

I'm not Canadian but I just love this song!! I first heard it at the end of the O Canada show in Epcot in Disney World and I just had to find out who sings it! Beautiful song! Beautiful country!

Epic. Gives me chills. Does the original justice. I loved the new version a lot. I was very impressed. My only complaint was that they cut out the Bluenose song by Stan Rogers. Great new film though!

A very powerful song indeed. I was at Epcot not long ago, maybe about 3 weeks ago. I saw this at the Canada pavilion and immediately after I said, "Je suis fier d'être dans l'armée américaine, mais je sais au coeur que je suis canadien." In English though that's, "I'm proud to be in the US Army, but I know at heart I am Canadian."

I don't think I've ever heard a song that has had such a long lasting impact for me. In fact, when I first heard it over 20 or so years ago (my dates may be off), I knew that it would be a life long favorite as I've never fallen out of love with it. May I also suggest that you take a listen to the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra's rendition of Oh Canada. THAT rendition will leave you practically speechless. Like this song, the Canadian National Anthem is an absolutely gorgeous song.

Good God, yes, the original version with the duet was nice, but I used to cringe when the French part would come on. Who knows how many Quebecois vacationing in Florida heard that and then went home and promptly voted yes in the referendum way back when. Like they couldn't get one single native francophone Canadian singer? Câlisse!

Yes..my partner is French Canadian (living in the US) and he had a hard time with the original's French singing. When he heard this new version, his eyes filled with tears.
