Great question. Not sure the answer but it doesn’t seem to have much draw in it. Lights up the glow plug and the LCD screen

@@02sahara - And this is why that little battery is NOT a good choice. The amount pulled to heat up the glow plug is really more than you should pull from such a small source.

Please say you didn't just tape those leads onto the battery tabs. That's going to be pulling 12-15 amps as it heats up the glow plug. You need a very solid connection, from that undersized battery, or else you'll turn those skinny wires into accidental fuses! Buy or make a set of either XT30 or Anderson Power Pole connectors, and use a battery rated to put out the current it pulls during startup, NOT just while it's running.

You are incorrect about what the battery is used to power. There is a constant draw on the battery, even after startup, for the fuel pump and the blower motor. That little SLA battery is NOT a good choice for running a diesel heater. There is too much of an amp draw on it, during startup, and it won't last very long at all running the heater during cold temps. Do yourself a favor and get something in the 20 amp-hour range and pay a little more for the LFP (lithium iron-phosphate) battery - it has twice the usable amp-hours of capacity. You bought one of the best diesel heaters on the market, but you've got a ways to go before you understand how to use it effectively.

That’s true but it’s being exhausted to the open air so you don’t smell it inside. The pros to diesel outweigh the cons in my mind.
