Have we got a double standard on assigning responsibility for illegal entry at the border? Canada has to do something about controlling access to the border by people trying to enter the US illegally, while the US does nothing in cases of people going the other way besides to help them get there. The problem is that people on a terrorist watch list got into Canada in the first place. The flow of people at Roxham road was into Canada. US officials could have done whatever they wanted to do if that were of a concern to them by establishing the kind of exit controls that Trump is now demanding of Canada. Does anybody see the double standard here?
