Don't worry, Trump is a complete imbecile who is incredibly easy to manipulate just by giving him a compliment. He talks a lot about what a tough guy and brilliant negotiator he is, but in reality just gives things up without asking anything in return (e.g. moving the U.S. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, agreeing to meet w/Kim Jong Un). I won't be surprised if Canada actually gets a better trade position after negotiating with him than you have now.

There is a lot of reasons to be disappointed with performance so far. Weekly he has embarrassing gaffs as well policy decisions many Canadians are not fond of. His budget had more to do with virtue signalling about gender than it did the budget. His constant vacations (breaking the law on them) and disregard for the tremendous deficit he and his team are racking up is beyond insane. His ability to give non-answers would put almost all politicians to shame. He has done nothing for vets or First Nations - promise after promise he would. He also seems to be clueless when it comes to international relations and respect. His team invited a convicted attempted murder of an Indian politician (whom he had met several times) to India to dine with Indian politicians. He seems meet with terrorists every 6 months or so... sometimes with a 10 million dollar cheque. He forces his fellow Liberals to vote the way he wants or face penalty. He loved Castro, a dictator. The list goes on and on.
