Well, in Germany and Europe there is no black subculture that stands out against the majority. There is no dividing history of black vs. white. So the groups are mixed and everyone is treated quite equally. But there is a Turkish subculture and the longer this is established, the more the Turkish group is associated with crime and poor work performance. So it's more a question of history than of race, it is the question of whether a subculture establishes itself in competition with the majority (and then of course can no longer be part of the same majority); a social competition, not based on race, but on social constructions. We see in both America and Germany that those who leave the subculture to make a career in the general public are often successful. But leaving the subculture is a prerequisite.

What a coincidence, I was listening to a podcast about Rosa Parks and the NAACP today on my daily walk and was incredibly shocked by what I heard. That was a topic I learned far too little about in my history classes here in Germany.

lol, I did that in english classes. History focuses really hard on europe history, because the rest of the world has a whole lot of history too. Asia alone would be enough to fill another whole history class. So why focus on US history in history?

Some people do not seem to know, based on their previous experiences, that here in Germany it is more likely that behavior is offended and that a (strict) verbal reaction, often overly polite in the choice of words, can occur.

To be fair....i was in Miami for three months and in every single store i went into the workers would follow me around the place which was very uncomfortable. I know the reason was to assist me, but still, you feel followed and watched😅. In Germany they view you as a grown up who is capable of asking if you are in need of assistance.

I'mean from Germany and I say we are all Humans and we want treat all the same way. Nobody is better or worst than myself. And you can living your life here how you think it will work out for yourself. And if you did a crime here you will treated the same way like a local German. And not because you be an American/African.I'm not use his word because this is illegal here in Germany

Racial profiling is forbidden for German Officers. There is a reason for that. (History)

Sometimes, however, police checks are interpreted as "racist" because they mostly affect people through language, and possibly appearance and behavior. Because the police check residence permits/ID/passports.

the problem with usa and their racism you can clearly also see in his video it's not that "it just don't matter what color you are" its an "i just want that all black ppl unite" Don't get me wrong, unite as much as you want, but in germany (most, not all!) ppl just don't even care about color and therefore why need a "black ppl unite" instead of an "all ppl unite"?

Before watching the video .. i just hop he doesn't come up with the "stare" nonsense. I mean i also "stare" when i see a Ferrari, does that make me a Ferririst ? Or a Porsche .. makes me a Porschist ? So please .. not. Ok, he did not. I was just a bit weary of the topic because a lot talk about the "german stare" and some black people directly had to interpret it as "racist" while mostly its just curiosity especially in areas where people maybe don't see so much non-white persons. But in the end its just the same as if you maybe see a hot redhead girl, or whatever person you may find "hot" and then maybe look a few seconds longer into that person. Or like i said first, you see a cool car .. and also inspect it a bit longer than a boring VW Golf.
