Peace? Peace is trying to understand why people commit crimes. To understand what brought them to that place. Not thinking they are monsters deserving to be killed. Reactionary violence won't ever bring peace. We aren't cavemen anymore.

@@brittanycrawford731Well, since Earth is 4.4 billion years old, every inch of Earth has had an animal and person be dead there. So, the land where you live and reside as had people die. In fact, some roads, buildings, etc are built over cemeteries and over people's graves. Sports stadiums have kicked people out of their houses just to have the stadiums be built. So, the place you live at, every building you go into, and every place you frequent has had someone and even animals die there since no place would not be left untouched due to how old the damn Earth is. Which is why all places on Earth has had death be there whether through natural causes, suicide, or being killed.

I’m not a country music fan I’ve been a rocker/metalhead my whole life. That being said, this is a great song and will be making it onto one of my Spotify playlist. This song says what most of us feel. I’m so thankful that I grew up in an era when words didn’t hurt. I was a kid in the 70s teenager and young adult in the 80s and my circle has always comprised of white, black, Mexican, Native American, Asian and Pacific Islander‘s. We talk crap to each other constantly and nobody was ever offended. You two have some good reactions to some really good music. It’s always good to see younger people who I would consider to be my daughters age at least one of them, appreciate music. I’ll admit when I was younger, when I was a teenager it was rock and metal and nothing else. I’ve grown a lot since then, and I’ve come to appreciate good music no matter the genre. Keep up the good fun reactions to all the great music this world has to offer.

You guys absolutely nailed it in your assessment of the song, on Jason, and the message being blown way out of proportion. Sadly there are those in this country, who just want to see it burn, and if you dare to put out the flames, you're instantly vilified! God help us if thus type of behavior becomes the norm. Also, the courthouse behind him in the video, has been used by other artists and in videos, tv, and movies too. Miley Cyrus even shot a video in front of it, and no one is attacking her, or calling her a racist. Funny how that works huh? Apparently you're only a racist if you're a republican, conservative, or Christian. 🙄

Several movies have used it in films also, the sad thing is some people in our country think if you don't live in the city your backwards or a redneck,or racist, and the small towns wouldn't survive without the cities, I often wonder, just where do the people in the city think their food comes from.

I have over 50 family members just in this town and our family has been here since 1914. We have whites, Hispanics, blacks & Asians here, and we all watch out for each other and all our families. Thank you for such a great reaction to an amazing piece of work 💙 Also keep in mind that Jason Aldean was the performer who was playing on stage when a man opened fire on the venue in Las Vegas. He literally had to run off stage while bullets were flying. In a matter of minutes there were over 1000 rounds fired, injuring more than 850 and killing 60 people. If anyone had the right to push an agenda or divide the country over firearms and/or violence, he would be one of them. Instead, he is using his music and his platform to show what it means be a proud American. The people who are criticizing this song and video need a wake up call and a check of their mental health. The vast majority of this country are sick and damn tired of the path we, as Americans, are on.

I believe the issues stem from the location the video was produced at. The Marion County Courthouse in Tennessee. in 1927 a young black man was lynched at that location. Some say the site was chosen by Jason on purpose to send a message. I, for one, do not believe that was the case. He lives very close to this location, and as Candace reported, was used by Disney in the Hannah Montana film in the early 2000's. It may have been just out of conveinence. He comes from Macon Georgia. While I would not claim it to be a small town (as I am from one that is less than 1000), the message of the song is real. Jason gets it to a T. People there do look our for their neighbors, they help those who need it, and generally do not like the power-block of urban areas trying their ones-size-firs-all approach to regulating who they are. We in America could use some small-town wisdom right now, as what we are currently doing is only making our situation worse. Put down the phones, stop watching the news, then take that time to meet and talk with your neighbors. Treat them like Jesus taught us we should treat them. That might go a long way to help heal some of the vitriol that both the Democrats and Republican spew in the name of righteousness.

We all need to make a distinction between legitimately protesting and organizing to violently attack and destroy communities, which is what that political violence was. There were peaceful protesters in some cases but groups of organized political thugs came in from outside the communities and they did so to try and gain political power not because they cared about the community...or anyone for that matter.

CMT about to find out REAL QUICK. ✊✊🏿✊🏻✊🏼 Singing about not wanting crime in your community isn't racist. There are many videos on KZbin of black folks saying the same thing I'm saying while reacting to the music video. I'ma tell you right now. Seeing those reaction videos gave me hope. It showed me that black folks are slowly but surely waking up from the mental plantation that is the Democrat Party. I've been noticing how angry liberals get when black folks start to stand up for themselves and not look at themselves as victims. Also NOBODY wants destruction in their community. A lot of the BLM protests last year destroyed many black businesses. Yet when the liberal mainstream media covered the protest, they ignored the black business owners whose livelihood was just destroyed overnight. Instead they talked to a few protesters, and even claimed that the protest was peaceful. Again ignoring the burned down businesses around them that once belonged to a black person. They ignore the black business owners because their story won't fit the narrative they are trying to push onto their viewers. For the longest time Democrats have been tryna divide black folks who can think for themselves and those who need others to tell them how to think. Black folks are starting to understand that the Democrat Party don't care about THEM. They only care about their VOTE so they can stay in power for as long as possible. America needs black folks to start thinking for themselves and not have others think for us!
