I was able to use the NSE, though I submitted a normal application. They got back to me that I maybe qualified for the Nigerian Student Express. I was asked to submit statement of account(last one year) and IELTS (minimum 6.5 in each band- I submitted a GT). I submitted my application last November, got my Visa approved@ February 20.

I got my request letter for NSE last week. Required CLB is 6 and no medicals. I was also given 30days to provide ielts and mybankstatement. In this 30 day period, the application is on hold till you give them feedback so even if you decide not to use NSE, your application processing time would start to count after the 30days has expired and where you opt for NSE the time begins to count when you submit the documents.

Hey Info place , thanks for the information I recently applied for my student permit to Canada and I did an upfront medical and have already done my biometrics I got a message from ircc regarding the NSE and that I had qualified for it and what they need is mybankstatement and IELTS result with a band score of 6. I have already sorted out the bankstatement and unfortunately, I didn’t write the IELTS exam because I didn’t need it for my admission application is it okay if I get a letter of Proficiency in English as a waiver letter from my institution where I got my BSc here in Nigeria and submit to ircc .

We had clients approved who had children. None of these had children on the application. The about of funds you need is tuition fees plus living expense for you all. So 10k for you 4k +3k +3k for your children (10K). So total minimum living expense of 20k plus what ever you tuition cost is should be your minimum. Thank you so much for the very informative video. I received the same request as well few days after I submitted my study permit application through the normal route. They requested for IELTS ( which I have registered for and hoping to get the result before the deadline) and my bank statement. I saw that medical report is also a prerequisite for NSE but I am yet to do any and it wasn’t part of the documents they requested for in the email. Will a request for it be put forward later after submitting those two documents they requested for? Also about the my bank statements, can I combine two statements from two different banks please because the fixed balance requirement won’t be met by submitting just one bank statement. Thank you.

Hello there... I got the same mail... But fortunately for me I had written my IELTS and I was qualified but unfortunately... The prove of fund is kinda the issue although there are huge amount going in and out but as a business owner we reinvest to earn more so there is no savings that's up to the expected amount for the duration... I just come across the channel nd it's very informative, I hv a question for you ma, I summited my application myself along side with my son's own whom is a mirror (16years) going to the university the summer, my concern is will they approve my application based on no visitor is allowed now in Canada because I will be going on a visitor visa, pls reply.

If your application meets all requirements to, they will as you are accompanying a minor. Your application needs to clearly state your purpose and submitted with the study permit application
