Hi, that's amazing. Congratulations! If the program is fully funded, that should be enough to apply for your VISA. You might need to show that you have enough for your travel expenses, if it is not covered in your funding. Your professor needs to provide you the proof of financial support for your application.

It doesn't really matter, people mostly say that because of the number of years you get for your Post-Graduate Work Permit. 1 year PGWP for 1 year course and 3years PGWP for a 18months - 2years course.
