​@Melbester9 This started happening on the west coast of Canada in the last 5-6 years. Sure, there were forest fires before that but it started to look like this and does so a little more or less every year now. One year about a couple years ago it was so bad here that we saw something we've never seen here before... ash falling from the sky. The thick smoke is bad but it really starts setting in when it's a very hot day, pea soup smoke, and ash coming down around you.

Living in the city right beside the Rockies here in Canada where most fire rages started this year, the air quality was so bad for several days last week we had to keep the windows shut completely. It hit us unexpectedly bc the winds carried it eastward towards us and the fire bans here are no joke. The fires are now worsening in eastern Canada so that smoke is blowing down to Newyork 😢 I hope Everyone stays safe, please take precautions. 😢

It should have never got this far, the US and Canada have plenty of planes and helicopters to knock this fire out, and think of all the people who can't breathe right now, this will make it worse for them. I never saw anything like this in NY, and I'm 60 years old. They can make it rain, so why not use those rain machines to knock these fires out. We have so many resources to put these fires out, why aren't they using them. Why let it burn.

For all the Americans wondering why we dont just handle it, most provinces in Canada have been and are currently under a very bad drought. Things are dry as fuck up here. Im in manitoba. April- oct is the rain season. Since April we have had one good rain. One time its rained heavy. Thats it. Its hard to deal with fire when things are so dry. Where im at anyways, our moisture comes from Colorado lows. In summer and winter. And this year those lows just have not come. And when those fires happen in remote areas, its even harder to fight them in a timely fashion before they are able to spread further. Its also not surprising Americans are seeing so much smoke. Quebec and ny are not far apart. Earlier in April when fires were burning in bc and Alberta, in manitoba where im at it was very bad. Very smokey and hard to breathe outside. And that smoke was coming all the way from the west coast. We need help honestly. Help from mother nature, and help from our supposed friends to the south and beyond. I see so many Americans shitting on us like us Canadians did this on purpose. GTFOH we hate this too
