YESSSS , the general public does not know enough about the (good) job you do, you'd gain a LOT more respect and recognition. Nothing wrong with promoting yourself. If only Trudeau would spend 'a few more dollars' on the army to make it top notch working. Finaly replacing 40 year old rifles (news: 100 million $$ on new rifles) Where are the new battle ships.. ?? This was a really phenomenal video, a series based around videos like these would do wonders for the forces and for recruiting. It would be interesting to see this type of video done for the Combat Engineers or Infantry or Paratroopers.

Interesting. Your father might have known one of my maternal great uncles, who, if memory serves me right, was also stationed at Shilo after the war. He was also posted to Korea as part of the UN observer force there after hostilities ceased. He was part of what used to be 4 RCHA and he eventually became a squadron sergeant major (SSM). He was also the vice-president of the Legion branch in Brandon for a while. Ubique!

OMG are we still training with those Korean War-era 105’s ? I trained on those in Pet in ‘92!
@lisamitchell79333 жыл бұрын
Because it's a reserve unit, using 777's now
@briggsquantum10 ай бұрын
I trained on the original 105's in 1972! Some of my Senior NCO instructors were WW2 and Korean War vets. They taught me the value of blowing things up at a great distance. Which I enjoyed then and still miss.... But for sure we need new equipment. I had to deal with the old Trudeau in those days, and the young punk who is PM now is even worse. He'll be gone soon I hope.

Looks like the old 105’s with a longer barrel
@stevestruthers6180 Жыл бұрын
That's because that's exactly what it is - a re-barrelled, refurbished M101. Sometime in the 1990s or early 2000s, a Dutch company called RDM refurbished all the old M101's before the Reserves got most of them.
