When I was in the Reg Force, I participated in a training camp and EX with the Rangers in Sioux Lookout What a CF. We had to confiscate the mouthwash in the hygiene packs and hand sanitizer for....reasons We couldn't discipline them or even ask them to clean up after themselves because " they won't come back next year " At least half of them only came for the free flight to a ' big town ' so they could shop and spend a night out whilst getting paid . There were some fantastic Rangers who took their job seriously and were masters of bushcraft. Coincidentally, they were also the folks who cleaned up after themselves.

Those were great days in the video when there was a budget for training reserves and regulars. Now the cupboards are empty. $1 Billion training budget doesn’t exist . You won’t see training like this for years thanks to the government
