I have the blue one, no serrations. The volcano bumps on the handle scales are bio directional unlike spyderco. I just watched a review comparing the F759M to the Meadowlark and the Delica. According to the scale all three were within +/- 0.02 ounces! So maybe there is something else about the Meadowlark that makes it feel heavier...maybe more solid? Quality-wise the fit and finish on the Meadowlark was a notch better.

Cool little knife. Funny how ganzo reacts to customer feedback so quickly on their knives but still use those pocket clips. I have found that many of the smaller knives fit well in the 5th pocket on my jeans. Makes for a very comfortable carry and tends to be hidden by your shirt, as well the clip goes into your other pocket making it less apparent.
@CanadianCuttingEdge7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I like how well their pocket clips hold and I like how they are usually very comfortable but they need to work on placement. I too often put smaller knives in my watch pocket in my jeans for the same reason. Sanrenmu knives almost always fit.

Nylon encompasses a family of chemically related polymers. Raw or natural nylon is clear or translucent and clear glass filled nylon is available so it is quite possible that the handle material on the F759M is indeed glass-filled nylon, even the somewhat translucent orange. I took some sandpaper (220, 320 and 600 grit) and softened the edges of my F759M (black) especially around the finger grip area. The plastic sanded to a powder so I'm thinking it is glass filled. The back spring on my F759M is insanely strong and the lock bar clicks in with a pretty loud SNAP. It's also unlikely to ever be flippable, but I'll take a secure lock over flipping. My thumbs are on the short side, I find the thumbhole to have a rather wide rotation around the pivot and deploying the blade one-handed requires some concentration. Love your reviews!
@CanadianCuttingEdge7 жыл бұрын
They even have oil impregnated nylon washers now too. I do have a video on how to make the springs on the Ganzo axis lock knives softer: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hIeraWykptOdb7s There are many people who say this video has helped them a LOT. Others say that a guy just needs to use their knife more and then it will soften up. I say, do what you want, it's your knife.

I just got one of these. The blade does not open as easily as your knife does. Any suggestions on how to help with that?
@CanadianCuttingEdge3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on the specific knife. It might be as minor an issue as the pivot screw being too tight. Try to loosen it a bit and see if that helps, and add some light oil to the pivot area while you are at it.

I won't be reviewing it. The exact same sharpener comes in several brand names and I had one. I thoroughly dislike it. if you want any degree of precision you will not choose it. I always direct people to get the VERY BEST knife sharpener that they can possibly afford. Even as a guy who is into budget knives, like Ganzo brand (one of my favourite brands) I want my knives to have an awesome cutting edge. Since a good sharpener will last for decades I suggest you get a nice Hapstone or TSPROF - I have reviews for 7 or 8 very nice systems by those companies.

@CanadianCuttingEdge7 жыл бұрын
I have never had that problem. Do it this way, "Register" your profile without ordering anything first, and then once you have an account at GearBest then login and order. I bet you will be able to get your full address in that way. Als try to do your address with space after the first 3 letters if it doesn't like it with a space.

@CanadianCuttingEdge7 жыл бұрын
I cannot visualize how you are having this trouble. I have put in 5 different Canadain addresses into GearBest (to have stuff shipped to friends and family) and it works just fine each time. The only way I could NOT get it to work is when I left the COUNTRY as USA or something else before I put the postal code in. Maybe check that you ahve the country setting correct first. And then don't worry at all about having a - between the first and second part of your address. When a computer scans the package at the post office and it fails then it will get shuttled over to a human and HUMANS will definitley read the postal code and they can figure it out super easily. It will get to Canada for sure, and then people at Canada Post WILL figure out where you live and get the package to you. In fact, even if a package to you from China had no postal code it would be fine because they can figure out your postal code from the rest of your address. I have had packages sent to me from people in USA and they left out the postal code completely - worked just fine.
@jackrabbit49077 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna wait a few days,its an holliday in China till October 5th.I've tried many times now and they still asking for 7 digits in my postal code.I think its a ''bug'' from their site...Anyways, have you seen this model yet www.gearbest.com/pocket-knives-and-folding-knives/pp_825183.html With a deep carry pocket clip and carbon fiber Looks like a winner to me!

@CanadianCuttingEdge Жыл бұрын
I have no idea why they didn't answer the phone but it is super common in most of the knife brands these days that they do not maintain stock in their models for very long and since these are a few years old now I suspect that it will keep getting harder and harder to find other colours too, until their existing stock is all sold out. But just maybe, they might do another run of them in the future if they decide this model is popular enough, and I hope that is what happens.

@CanadianCuttingEdge7 жыл бұрын
NICE!!! I am getting tired of black handle knives too.
@ComUnSas7 жыл бұрын
Another 'con' impo is that the edges of the scales are sharp. In comparison, a Delica had rounded scale edges and fewer hot spots in the hand. Of course, a Delica is 6x the price in the US and 12x the price in Europe. The action needs wearing in and the edge of the opening hole can do with a little smoothing with a few strokes of a sharpening rod, nothing major. All in all, a good Delica alternative for anyone in Europe not prepared or able to pay the joke prices charged by US companies' authorised distributors. £100/ $125 for a Delica in the UK. Ha! Ha! ... er, no.
@CanadianCuttingEdge7 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I didn't find the edges of the handle to create hot spots for me. It is likely that our grip technique isn't the same. (not that one of us is wrong, I am not suggesting that kind of nonsense). Backlocks are all the same in that they need wearing in, it is part of the way they are designed I think. USA knife prices are a bubble, the rest of the world tends to pay a lot more for knives, even here in Canada we pay almost double for the same knife that an American can buy.
@ComUnSas7 жыл бұрын
Canadian Cutting Edge Re. edges, it's noticeable because I use a Delica IV regularly. If I didn't it probably wouldn't have registered. Hold one in the hand immediately after the other and it's noticeable. I mention it because I know some people are picking these up as Delica/ Meadowlark alternatives. Re. the back lock, yup, Delicas for example also start off stiff and gritty.
