I love the fact that the video is short and to the point, hate motovlogers who do top 5 or top 10 things and end up making 30 minute videos full of random rambling, good job!

I have actually, love the video on the 500R. Currently recovering from a crash which broke my femur 2 months ago on a MT-07 (pothole in the middle of a corner, brand new 1 month old bike, my first actually) and not sure whether to go for the 500R or something like a GSXR-600, since I'll probably be riding 80% track from now on, the streets around here are garbage.
@carswithsonduren7 жыл бұрын
+Spryngo hey man well first off I'm glad you're still with us and still haven't lost the love to ride. Glad you're okay and recovering. Honestly if you're doing track only go with the GSXR 600 period makes much more sense. Welcome to the channel my friend and I wish you a speedy recovery

lol. At least you're honest and not simply saying that it's a great bike because you paid 15k for it.

I have this bike and I must say I 100 percent agree with you. I was pissed beyond belief about the clear coat. So what I did was I picked up another set of fairings and had them painted in the tri colore paint scheme and they are clear coated lol. Originals are put away lol.
@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
Glad it bugs you as much as it bugs me... like really... its 2016... a flagship superbike... no clearcoat... LMFAO. My fucking 6 year old Ninja 250 has clearcoat.
@nabilosman26618 жыл бұрын
+Canadian Rider dude I know man. My 1988 yamaha ysr 50 has it on lol. My old 2006 675 had it. Dude I was so pissed when I found out. But I had to pick up another set just to protect this bike and do the detailing I want to.
@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
what a oversight lmfao. Still love the bike.. more of a WTF really?!
@nabilosman26618 жыл бұрын
+Canadian Rider me to man. Love it but even today it pisses me off. I always wanted a ducati. Then I buy one brand new and it has no clear coat. But the matte one does wtf is up with that. Look in the owners manual will tell you.
@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
yeah I know and I was leaning towards the white one because of this reason. funny thing is the red 1199 actually has clear. it's literally only the Red 899 that does not.

The seat after any rides over 45 minutes really starts to hurt my tush. I will be buying the Ducati Comfort Seat soon!
@jordanammanshmesani8 жыл бұрын
Remember comfort seats are one inch higher. im sorry my max ride is 45 min, I dont ride more than that..

Man I'm sorry I've ridden my 899 from tx to Cali I don't have any of these issues 5"10 200lbs but I'm in shape. But I've been riding 8yrs straight on all seasons not on and off. Wait a minuete the pegs issue I do have haha!

@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
Really huh?! I thought I was in shape I guess not :p I am not sure man, maybe its my riding position? Others have similar complaints, after 45 minutes for me my ass wants to tap out
@VinnigsSpinTheBlock8 жыл бұрын
+Canadian Rider you know most of the duc owners are white at least the ones I see over here in the states and most white men have small butts. I know women are always touching my butt so I'm sure I have meat on my booty haha! But seriously that probably plays a big factor.

the heat is only a problem when in slow traffic. and for me i see enough in the mirrors

funny that when I tracked the bike, at Mosport, in the late May heat wave, I did not notice the heat. must have been the perforated leathers and all the time spent back and forth OFF the seat. PS what happened to your bike?
@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
+Fred Oliff Glad to hear your taking yours to Mosport. One day I hope to hone my skills to take a motorcycle if this caliber on the track

you can do it, and ought to...it was 'recommended' by Halton regional... ;-) Ducati Owners Club of Canada has two track days, next year Calabogie too.

@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Brown Hey Kevin! Currently I dont think there is a good way to deal with the heat over then wearing some motorcycle pants which can block it! Mirrors, you could always remove them :p

Hey bro! I got my 2014 Ducati on Wednesday!! Quick question, do you experience the RPM going up when your pressing the clutch in while still in gear?
@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
Yes. this throttle surge is a common "characteristic" of the 899 Panigale. It is not a "problem" which I clarified with lots of people. Just know I have seen every panigale with this and mine as well. Thanks for watching the video :)

Why don't you just replace your your seat, mirrors, and peddles yourself? and also painting fairings is pretty easy
@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
Factory could do it too for the price we all pay for this motorcycle
@MegaExtenZe8 жыл бұрын
Gezz why did you buy the bike. You didn't know any of this before looking at the bike or did you buy it for the looks like everyone else. If you have the 20K spend the extra $1000 and make the upgrades. I'm an 899 rider and the bike is great.
@carswithsonduren8 жыл бұрын
I did a lot of research before I bought it. The negatives I knew about before I bought the bike are the lack of clear coat, the heat, and the foot pegs. The seat and the mirrors were things that I experienced over my experience. I didn't say the motorcycle is not great, I simply stating some of the things I hated which TBH... for a motorcycle of this price, should have come addressed, like its 2016 Ducati, your 1199 gets the clearcoat, why not the 899 (As a professional detail is very sad to me)
