Canal cruising into the unknown 🌛 narrowboat life vlog

Hello, I'm back to torment/delight you with another narrowboat vlog from a glorious hot summer! In this one we decide to do a short cruise to a new spot late one evening, which turns into a cruise in the dark with sliiightly weird vibes. That's the thing about living on a boat, you don't really know what somewhere will be like until you actually get there. And when you get there, you LIVE there 😳 But sometimes an ominous night cruise can lead to the loveliest place to wake up (we just have to be dramatic about it first).

Very enjoyable ominous vibes, crow impression and Matilda. Andrew's story of digging for treasure reminded me of my childhood 'digging for treasure' in what used to be a compost heap. I found chicken bones and pretended i was a paleontologist 😂 i imagine Andrew found better stuff!

Lovely hearing all the magpies in the background. Very different to what our Australian “magpies” sound like. It does seem ominous once you changed the camera setting. I love the bit with your shadow on the brick wall walking through the gate. Only a few minutes in but had to comment! You really captured some beautiful light for the intro ❤

😂 so funny about the swans. Maybe they recognised your boat and that’s why they were so aggressive with the tapping so late? Matilda is living her best narrowboat life. A summer tent! She looks very settled in to boat life. ❤

As Per…a beautifully made vlog!😘. Hope you’re both well, plus managed to move on by now, water levels have certainly been an issue!? I loved the opening sequence…the ‘Dark Cruising’…segment…you should have named the vlog that, although a slightly different audience might of tuned in disappointed🤭….nevertheless the most apocalyptic part of the vlog for me was the scary sheep staring straight on at you through the bushes 😳! Eerie night shooting…loved it! Andrew got a proper pole, imagine the adventures of retrieving things from the canal. Loved him referencing Eminem and Stan! Matilda’s tent is marvelous. I love ominous days when with the light low in the sky casting a sombre mood it feels like anything can happen (if you're not careful). Don't you? Half expected you to cruise into Royston Vasey. Hello Andrew, thanks for sharing your beautiful little story of, as a child, searching for hidden treasures within the canal dredger’s spoil heap. I wonder, what did you find during your archeological expeditions? Marbles, a clay pipe perhaps? I’d be interested to know if you have any memories/stories of objects that you found. i like your clips as i can actually say, oh ive been there and thats the wheatsheaf pub, been in there too. may i ask where abouts you are at the moment? I cruised past Fuck No the other week and stopped at Fanny Compton.
