Thanks for sharing, great to see you guys on the canals, brought back lots of memories as I was brought up in Leicestershire and know almost all the town's you went to, braunston was a fishing spot, and foxton was a cycle ride, I can imagine you found a completely unique holiday on the canals, so green and pleasing all year round, but especially in spring and summer,. Great memories for all of you I bet.

What a delightful video, well filmed and very relaxed, Being a kiwi who has spent a lot of time in Husbands Bosworth, Foxton, and Market Harborough over the past 12 years, it was a joy to watch, I detect an English accent amongst you. I hail from the Peak District, another beauty spot. thank you

I am not sure about Australia, but here in Canada, we have a saying about "legging it" meaning to get away. This expression came from the days of horse-drawn barges. When the horses couldn't go through the canal people would lay on their backs with their legs up in the air and with a walking motion propel the barge through the tunnel. This also was called legging. I also REALLY enjoyed your video. What a great way to keep your memories. Nice narration and terrific pace to the video.

Hey guys what an excellent travel log, bit of everything, great filming, editing and narration. As an ex boater who did mainly rivers and coastal runs, I'm now sorry I didn't do more canal trips. You lot did have a great holiday and I hope a beer tasting video will follow.

Great video, bought back memories of our 2 years on the canals. Our Aussie flag was a little smaller though.......well done.

Good to see some Aussies " cranking it " on the canals , you all must be good mates to stay on a narrowboat together , 6 people , that would be a bit cramped to say the least but looks like you all had a good time . Great video and trip :-)

Dear Mike,What an excellent video, one of the best narrowboat videos on the web.You must be real professionals! (But then maybe you are?...)Thank you so much for the most enjoyable half-hour, every minute was worth it.BTW, how did you film the boat passing by in the tunnel? !!! Leave someone out, reverse and pass again then go back to fetch them?Hope you spend -- and film -- many more wonderful holidays!Best from Brussels, Dimitrios & Carine

Excellent! I used to do the Leicester Ring with my family when I was a kid and this picked it up beautifully, I hope you had a great time! What did you think of Leicester....it is really not that dangerous! (P.S. I had a great time in Australia when I was there too!)

interested to hear your thoughts on negotiating the Soar river. Have yet to include a river on previous trips and confess to being apprehensive. Did you encounter any issues that were significantly different from the canal ? Thanks

People passing in their respective boats never wave or acknowledge one another. Doesn’t seem very friendly.
