Were back in the Mulberry Mountain/Mill Creek area for some more great ATV trail riding action. This time we hit up one of our old favorites, a trail we have not been on in years and have never shown on camera. We hope you enjoy the video!
Want to know where this trail is along with all the other loops and waypoints featured in our videos? Join our members area! We will show you how to get there step by step using your own GPS app on your phone :

Yup know that area well. That’s crazy. See some guys up in there on bicycle. Another reason people probably ask why you’re in low. The video never shows how steep something is. Nice . Nice run boys thanks for taking us along!

Thats a good point as well KC. Yeah those bike riders told us they did not know what they were getting themselves into LOL!!! Thanks for tuning in man.

another aspect for viewers asking about low gear and 4WD is cameras will NOT show steepness and angles, safety first. Machines are very expensive and can't put a price on getting hurt. I have seen unexpected roll overs happen very fast on terrain you would not think is an issue.

@@CharlieCook-q5j very good point. The camera angle never shows how it really is.

I imagine there are a lot of riders who live in very flat country where there just isn't the need for 4WD and Low Range. As usual, that's a nice scenic ride there Aaron. I think half the west is burning up right now as the forest fire smoke is thick everywhere. I live in NE Oregon but was just in south central Oregon and there is smoke everywhere. It's hard to see the nearby mounts due to all the fire smoke right now.

You are most likely correct. Good thought. Man that stinks about the smoke. I hate to hear that. Thanks for tuning in, and you be safe out there man.

Enjoy the vids! Is the GPS data in your member's area unique to the software you use, or can it be exported to be used with other software packages, specifically Polaris Ride Command?

That is a great question. I have no experience with Ride Command, but I can tell you this - We share the GPS coordinates to specific waypoints, and we share the tracks utilizing .GPX files. If Ride Command uses .GPX files, your good to go.

@miillersoffroad I have a 2023 850 max , I'm always in low 2wd when I'm driving 15 mph/25 kph and under, I see a lot of people running them in high when their riding slower speeds, what's your opinion on that, is what I'm doing better for the longevity of my belt ? And a odd question, I know I want 4wd low for getting through the muck , what would running it in low 4wd on sport mode do ? With the added throttle response sending all the power to the lower gear, I can imagine it being high in the rpms and maybe getting it hot, have you ever tried that ?

@@jasons.2825 Not necessarily anything wrong with cruising around in low gear like that, but in my opinion thats a lot more work on your engine than is required and I would think oil changes might need to take place more frequently. The belt is not going to be under stress unless your wheels are facing extra resistance such as going up steep trails or down in thick mud. I only switch to low in those situations and my belts last a really long time. Low 4wd in sport mode? I have hammered the machine many times in that situation. Nothing wrong with it. I just would not do it all day long. Have you done a full break in oil change on your machine? Not just engine oil, gearbox oil, diff fluids? I cannot recommend that procedure enough. Takes a little time but well worth it.

@miillersoffroad thanks for the tips. I've had the bike in for its first service, they changed the oil but I believe they only checked the diff fluid and said it looked fine, I don't recall them mentioning the gearbox oil. the bike was lower hrs then required for first service but I brought it in early to address some issues. It's got about 40 hrs on it, when I service it next, I'll be sure to change all those. I have a lot to learn on doing maintenance myself, admittedly.
