Vry well explained sir leverage bt.as a professional in my opinion Financial leverage accelerates EPS(ndROE) under favourable economic conditions bt.depresses EPS nd ROE under unfavorable conditions for the firm.ROE is obtained by dividing PAT by equity.The most commonly used measures of financial leverage r debt ratio,debt equity ratio nd intrest coverage.In other words it is the fixed charge of funds.The interest charges r tax deductible nd therefore provide tax shield which increases the earnings of the shareholders.Operating leverage while affects a firm's operating profit EBIT.Operating nd financial leverage together cause wide fluctuations in EPSfor a given change in sales in my opinion in nutshell .If a co.employs a high level of operating nd financial leverage even a small change in the level of sales will hv.dramatic effect on EPS..If a firm doesn't employ any debt EPS will will increase at the same rate at which same rate at which EBIT increases in my opinion.Vry innovative nd knowledgeable vdo.lecture.Sincerely appreciated 👍
