In IFRS Goodwill is calculated by += Cost of Invst at Acq date + NCI (Minority Int) at acq date reduced by Sh cap of sub at acq date LESS Pre Acq retained earnings. Using this formula goodwill would be same or different..? Why and why not. Please clarify.

Hi All, I have a doubt pls help me on this. I acquired a company on 1 June 2023 and the year end is as of 31 Dec 2023. The consideration paid was just a pre agreed rate. When I’m preparing the console WP, balance sheet I will be taking as at 31 Dec 2023 of the sub and for PnL I will take numbers from June to Dec 2023. While doing this the balance sheet will off by the profit of first six months. How I should fix this. Need some insight. Pls explain me in English pls.
