I found a canary in the streets that couldn't fly well, it seems to be recovering and kinda fly-hops, thanks for the info!

@@BubblyPetz1 Hello again, my canary is having his first molt this summer and he seems to be able to get rid of all the pin feathers except the ones on his head and face? Is there anything I can do to help? I already provided him with a bird bath.
@BubblyPetz15 ай бұрын
@@FiniteTime-qm1dz Hi! If he is tame enough to let you pet him you could manually use your fingers to loosen and slide the feather casings off. If not, you can provide him with a type of decoration with a rough surface for him to rub against.

@@BubblyPetz1 Hello again. Do you use lamps or lights that mimic sunlight for your birds? I feel like sometimes my canary does get enough especially on rainy days and since his cage isn't too close to the window. If you do have lights/lamps, do you have any recommended brands or products?
@BubblyPetz14 ай бұрын
@@FiniteTime-qm1dz Hi, I don’t use any lamps for my birds. I just rely on the sunlight that comes in through my window. If you want, you can invest in one for your canary to provide a better and more stable daylight schedule. Full spectrum bulbs are recommended since they mimic the sun, and it might improve the feather quality of your canary.

Thanks for the tips. I have a large, really high extented storage room connected to where the chickens are. I want to put a large cage with a rain barrel outside the wall so that fresh rain water will flow through a container in the cage. At times I might travel for a week, for work. The belgian canary will have the chickens next door for company. Does this seem like a good option? Thanks!
@BubblyPetz19 ай бұрын
It sounds interesting. If you are able to make the rainwater barrel idea work, then I see no problem. I’d just make sure that wherever the canary can come into contact with the water is not too deep to prevent any possibility of drowning.

The blue factor canary looks like an indigo bunting and the green canary is a forest canary which is a different species from Africa and not really a breed of Atlantic canary. Though canary do appear a grayish blue or greenish yellow color with the right composition of base color and markings.

Hello i am a subscriber and i need some help with my pigeon, for some reason his droppings are green recently they used to be brown, he is very active and eats properly. Do u know whats the cause and how can i treat this ? I would be very thankful to you
@BubblyPetz1 Жыл бұрын
Hi, are his droppings still solid or have they become loose and runny? If they are still solid, then a medium to dark green color is still fine and could be due to him eating different seeds or grit. If his poop has become watery, then it could be due to stress or illness.
@Yashu_Playz Жыл бұрын
@@BubblyPetz1 its solid as before just dark green in colour i will feed him some different grains to see if there's any change. Also thank you for answering i really appreciate that.

🥝🥝do they need chewable toys like parrots?
@BubblyPetz18 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! They don’t chew like parrots do, but I’d still advise you to get a few different toys for them to interact with. The most they’d do is try to pull stuff apart.

No one lucky enough to have cuddly canary bird right? Sure they can perch on finger but that's it
@BubblyPetz17 ай бұрын
No, they can be cuddly, but it’s usually the ones that have been hand raised that will be comfortable cuddling and being pet. Ones not hand raised may be very difficult if not impossible to become cuddly.

Birds in captivity- just sad
@BubblyPetz14 ай бұрын
@@patsih883 Maybe. I say it heavily depends on the owner and how much they provide and do for their birds. Most birds in captivity are captive bred and don’t know life outside of that environment, so they won’t miss it or be sad like a wild born one forced to live in captivity.

birds don't belong in cages if you can't give them a home without a cage then you shouldn't have a bird
@BubblyPetz17 ай бұрын
Yeah, that is the ideal. My pigeon no longer has a cage and is free roam just because of how large he is. My smaller birds do have a cage since it’s easier to provide one large enough for them to fly around in, and since I have so many, it would be difficult to keep up with the cleaning if they were free roam like my pigeon. I have cats too, and the smaller birds would be more likely to escape the room and get hurt if they were out 24/7. I know a lot of parrots benefit from having a cage to be used as like their own little space too, but as long as their owner let’s them free roam most of the day, then I think it’s fine for them to have a cage.
