I've seen authors trying to get cover art from art companies, and they got AI junk. Not surprised if marketing firms use AI created imagery in posters to save time. I wouldn't blame Marvel directly, it's just how this industry is going.

i totally understand the repulsion to AI-generated images, especially from these massive studios who have more than enough resources to pay actual artists. i think it'd be different if it wasn't so blatant, or even if they used artists to correct the mistakes made by AI. but ultimately, it's good that we have this kinda backlash. because it isn't just hating on marvel or comics or pedro etc for the purpose of fake outrage, it's hating on disney for being cheap & greedy, which is totally based.

The Fantastic Four trailer was surprisingly Fantastic. The only people hating on it are those who call Marvel Studios woke, dislike Pedro Pascal and hate a gender-swapped Silver Surfer in the movie. AI is becoming commonplace in graphics editing and image compositing, and while these are sad mistakes, this is just sloppy work from people in a hurry. It's the Marvel way. Hopefully, what's on-screen will be better.
