You'll never know how much you & your videos have meant to me! I lost 92lbs in 9 months at 53yrs old and love that I found you during that journey! You're a part of me living a longer, healthier life! I lost the love of my life in July, 27yrs daily, knowing her 35. It's hard to get motivated, to exercise, to anything. But I try sometimes. You make things fun. And challenging! People would say "Stay strong!" but when I hear the word Strong mentioned I think of you Natasha! 💪 ❤ My daughter had quarter sized cancer removed from her lung & ovary..and my mom had lung cancer spread to a rib, but with treatment is ok now too! Both about 5yrs ago and doing fine now. Thank you thank you thank you, for you.

Thank you Natasha for the update. Glad to hear you are doing so well! Cancer also uses glutamine (a lot more than glucose actually). I started keto diet after my own BC diagnosis then I learned the body can break down protein into glucose if needed so cancer cells get access to it one way or another. I am doing plant based diet with health fats, including broth in every meal. Also on anastrozole and starting Verzenio next week. Sending positive vibes your way ❤

How long did you do keto? I feel so good, I’m going to stick it out for a while. There are other benefits to using ketones as fuel. I didn’t feel good when I went vegan years ago but I’ve been pescatarian or full vegetarian since I was 16. Positive vibes back! Wish you all the best. Thanks for commenting.

I did keto during the first 5 and 1/2 months of chemo. Towards the end I started to include fish and chicken since I was weak. Since then, I take 2 spoons of apple cider with the mother to decrease sugar levels in my blood. “Glutamine, the most abundant amino acid in plasma, is a well-known nutrient used by cancer cells to increase proliferation as well as survival under metabolic stress conditions.” Source: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5746034/#:~:text=Glutamine%2C%20the%20most%20abundant%20amino,survival%20under%20metabolic%20stress%20conditions.

Wow that’s amazing. Have you been in ketosis for 5 years or in and out? I haven’t decided how long I’m going to do this but I’ve never felt better. I know I’ll never go back to regular carbs but it would be nice to add fruit, veggies and legumes back in sometime.

I have been mostly in ketosis but it's easy to go in and out , so intermittent fasting helps me stay there for longer amounts of time. I healed from several issues including pre diabetes and insulin resistance; and over time I have learned to be more strict. I went for a stretch of six month under 20 carbs a day. That was amazing. I am not 50-100 carbs a day and so I go in and out. I started following Dr. Boz years ago, who is on youtube, and she is such a great inspiration and teacher. She was able to heal her mom who had cancer and wrote a book about that. @@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates

There was a stretch of time I stayed under 20 carbs every day strictly, and I healed some major health concerns including pre diabetes and insulin resistance. I now will be between 30-80 carbs on average a day, and am very flexible - but mostly ketosis. I highly recommend it for menopause!! If I leave ketosis It's the only time I have a hot flash. I began with insulin resistance, pre diabetes, some breast cancer and HPV scares, and general menopause symptoms. Five years ago I was a life long vegetarian/vegan and ate mostly organic and non processed foods. I would juice fast on the reg. But I was gaining weight and health issues. I read Dr. Boz's book about how she discovered a way to help her mom who had cancer with keto diet. When I quit sugar and grains (went high fat, low carb) not only did I lose my cravings for carbs and foods (gained control) but learning how to put my body intio ketosis brought my AIC to normal, all all my health scares dissolved. I lost 30 pounds, and menopasue sx. I will never go back to carb based. I stay 20-100 carbs tops and intermittent fast. @@beaglerundog

Hi Natasha, I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably. Altough it looks like you have a very good keto diet I would like to share the diet I have been on with you. The soup Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat. Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready. I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. (Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.) During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you. I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that you will be healed. Amen. Best regards Chris “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. John 3:16 (King James Version Bible) Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son Of God the Father.

Been doing keto since 2017 hoping that my brain tumor would stay benign after a major 13h surgery to try to remove it. They did removed big part of it but I still have some left. So far so good. Keto is now part of my life as if I’ve been eating like this all my life. 3y ago I suddenly have a lump on my left breast. I ignored it because I thought it’s just another protein like last time. End of last year I decided to have a mammogram and they immediately ordered me to have a biopsy and they confirmed that it’s ER positive. Had 2 lumpectomies and removed one of my lymph node and came out negative. My doctor prescribed me tamoxifen but only been taking 1/4 of the dosage to prevent too many side effects. He also suggested a mastectomy because it appeared that I still have the cancer receptors. My surgery is due in 2 weeks with reconstruction immediately after removing the breast tissue.

I just found this study done by the NIH published January 30, 2024. Vegan diets versus Keto diets changes to the immune system. Remember, the immune system is designed to look for, hunt down, and kill cancer. "Switching to vegan or ketogenic diet rapidly impacts immune system, study shows" "According to the authors, the results of this study demonstrate that the immune system responds surprisingly rapidly to nutritional interventions. The authors suggest that it may be possible to tailor diets to prevent disease or complement disease treatments, such as by slowing processes associated with cancer or neurodegenerative disorders." "Each person ate as much as desired of one diet (vegan or keto) for two weeks, followed by as much as desired of the other diet for two weeks. People on the vegan diet, which contained about 10% fat and 75% carbohydrates, chose to consume fewer calories than those on the keto diet, which contained about 76% fat and 10% carbohydrates." "Switching exclusively to the study diets caused notable changes in all participants. The vegan diet significantly impacted pathways linked to the innate immune system, including antiviral responses. On the other hand, the keto diet led to significant increases in biochemical and cellular processes linked to adaptive immunity, such as pathways associated with T and B cells." medicalxpress.com/news/2024-01-vegan-ketogenic-diet-rapidly-impacts.html My mom had T-cell lymphoma. Doctors here told her that it was a very rare form of cancer and that as soon as she felt well enough she would start chemo. She never felt well enough.

Keto is a great decision, but full carnivore would be better. You will need to fast too: OMAD every day and then 4 days of fasting once in a while. Don't take proteine powders, they will raise your insulin and may be converted to glucose. Reducing your glucose is not enough, you will need to reduce glutamine too: DON or DRP-104 if you can get a prescription from your med, otherwise Theanine and EGCG (both in green tea).
@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates11 ай бұрын
Thanks for tips. Learning quickly as I go. Protein powder was messing me up so I bought more fat, grass fed, organic ghee and mct oil. I’m not going to eat animals so I’m doing it my way. Also, I’m not going to fast because I need to keep weight on. I’m already losing weight quickly and am only 105lbs. I fast for 16 hours and eat 8 hours. Drinking green tea. Def no 4 day fasts for me. I’m a fitness instructor and workout a lot. Need the energy.
@DanielFernandez-h3l11 ай бұрын
@@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates Humans are carnivores, so better to accept that fact if you want to heal, sorry. Butter and meat is all you need. Plants are full of phytochemical and hormone disruptors that you are not designed to eat, it may be the cause of your illness in the first place. Fasting is important in order to reduce your glucose and glutamine levels as much as possible. When you become completely fat adapted you won’t have any energy problems, not even on your workouts. The extra fat in your body is not useful, you want to keep your muscle weight. Just eat enough fat and protein and you will be in perfect weight. Drinking green tea is nice but you will need a lot of Theanine and EGCG to reduce glutamine. So better to supplement them in addition to the tea.

Yay! It's good to hear that you feel good on a Keto diet! I commented here before Christmas and had asked about your diet before your diagnosis, but then I got sick with what I suspect was Covid since I lost my sense of taste and smell a week into being sick, the Saturday after Christmas. I think they are only now beginning to come back but I am not really sure, I think that I forgot what things taste and smell like. I also believe in vaccines but I was holding out for the Pfizer Covid booster because Moderna puts me in the bed for two days. At a doctor's visit a couple of months ago I was offered a Flu shot but asked for a Pfizer Covid vaccine instead and ended up without either one. I read an article a few days ago that stated getting one of the vaccines shuts the door on the other illness, so I should have said yes to that Flu shot when I was offered it. For folks with many risk factors getting both is probably the best course of action. I don't like coffee I never developed a taste for it but I have heard of bullet proof coffee which uses coconut oil. I don't remember what else was in it. You can blend your own non-sugar sweetener mix. I don't like the taste of any non-sugar sweetener by itself. I now make a gallon of cold black tea using only one tiny pink Sweet 'N Low spoonful of the Sweet 'N Low (Saccharin?) and one tiny pink spoonful of SweetLeaf stevia. SweetLeaf claims to be the best tasting stevia. I use to make a gallon of cold black tea with 1 1/2 cup of granulated white sugar. People would complain that it was too sweet. I did not go cold turkey and drop sugar for Sweet 'N Low and Sweetleaf stevia, I gradually reduced the amount of sugar I used by cutting it with the non-sugar sweeteners. I remember my aunt bringing me and my sister to the beach in Florida and drinking the sugar-free cola that she bought, Tab, which I believe was sweetened with saccharin. My aunt the saccharin drinker died in 2022 at the age of 89. I wanted to mention that human immune system is designed to fight cancer because we have so many cellular reactions going on all the time that mistakes are bound to happen. This means that we all get cancer in our body at some point. Pampering our immune systems is the best way to prevent cancer from flourishing. Our skin is part of our immune system. It's the largest part I think. Please consider that getting your skin tattooed may impair your immune system to some degree. Tattoo inks can contain substances that promote cancer as well. This message is more for those who considering getting a tattoo. I personally don't understand why people refuse to eat meat, but as Felix Harder mentions on his KZbin website, eating meats generally means that vitamins and minerals are more bioavailable to us. He has a video where he discusses vegans diets versus carnivore diets, I am not sure this is it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGK4eqJmeZlol5o What if there is something in meat that your body cannot get anywhere else? That could an unexpected danger of eliminating an entire food group from your diet.

Personally, I do not want to chew on animals 🙈 it just doesn’t feel right to me. I look at seafood a little different. I don’t feel like the fish are tortured. Thanks for your comment and suggestions! Hope you feel better from covid and are doing well now! 🫶

Thank you for answering my question about why you don't eat meat. During the year or so that I spent watching Jenny Apple dying of lung cancer here on You Tube I never got up the nerve to ask her why she had chosen not to eat meat. I wonder if the cows threw a party after she died? I am sure that they must have appreciated her contribution to their comfort and safety. She did clear space on the planet for them by removing herself from it. I guess that I can admire people who sacrifice themselves for a cause even if I don't understand that cause?@@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates

I’m sorry to hear that. I haven’t had to do any chemo yet. It’s all so scary taking things that are toxic to us.

That’s what the optometrist thinks. I’m not convinced though. No headache and the description doesn’t match up except for the “flashing lights”. Funny enough I haven’t had it at all now that I’m on my break week from Kisqali so waiting to see what happens when I start back up again.

Wow, this is my first Time to hear you, and I’m sorry to hear about your situation, I noticed you have a lot of videos and you take Life very seriously, I do not want to offend you in any way, but what I want to say, is possibly going to, maybe even turn you off and I’m sorry if it does, if you don’t know the truth about cancer it will be very aggressive,and it can take your life, it sounds like you are in the beginning stages and that is good, OK here we go,Angels are reapers that’s what they do. They reap, good angels reap good things and bad angels reap bad things, you may know and you may not know about spiritual evil wickedness, but I do, and I would not want to scare you in anyway, I am here to help you, I am a 35 year old Christian, I am a 58 year old human, in the last 35 years I’ve studied the Bible, and I know what it says, and the devil is out to (steal) (kill) and (destroy)your (life)and he goes about seeking whom he can devour, And it appears as though he has Found you out, do not be afraid. God has already overcome the evil one, and we can live and have life more abundantly, because of what Jesus Christ has already done. The Bible says that they scourged Jesus at the whipping post the same day he went to the cross, that means Jesus paid the price for all sickness at the whipping post. Then he paid the price for our salvation at the cross, all we have to do is accept Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, and do what the Bible says, I have much more I want to say, but I’ve met two different men on KZbin that say things so much better than I do and I want to invite you to their website on KZbin. The first man’s name is Curry Blake and the second one is called Andrew Wommack Please go and listen to everything they have to say immediately I believe your life depends on it, I will be praying for you, and I do believe you will live and not die, and you will be able to testify as to what Jesus has done for you as well.

RE: meat and protein powders - in South Africa we have banting which is low carb / keto. One of the things is that it should me a medium protein diet. Meat should not be bigger than the palm size and thickness of the palm. So please make sure the protein powder compared to meat intake ratio is the same as protein gets converted to sugar.
