Nice vlog! I’m going to have to say there is a difference between exchanging fries for another side like a salad. Now if you want another side/ meal as an addition to your meal and they are willing to accommodate that’s different. But some restaurants ask you not to substitute simply for the matter of time. They have a certain number of staff at hand and want to make everyone’s experience enjoyable. These days with Covid being a strain on the industry I try not to be difficult for them.

Hello and thank you so much for this video!! First off, it’s one thing to get what you want but another to change an entire dish lol. But I understand, you pay for it, you want what you want. BUT, I heard you mention like unlimited seafood/lobster, was that at like the buffet area or the restaurants? I know some resorts have on the spot grilled foods so I was wondering if they did that here as well. Thanks!

😭 Sir you cannot sub french fries for scallops!! I used to try and mix and match meals, but I noticed that waiters would often just makeup the wildest upcharges. A $14 burger and fries would turn into a $37 burger and tenders 😂

Change what you want on the menu, staff will either say sure we can accommodate or no. Your husband is correct imo, unless you are with a large dinner party then it may get a bit confusing for the waiter having multiple people at one table changing a bunch of things.

Did you do any excursions outside of the resort?

We did the scuba diving excursion this year. Before, we did the swim with the dolphins one and that was fun. If you get a chance to see cenotes, go!

Did you have a scuba lesson in the pool first? As I’ve never scuba dived before. I really want to go here for my honeymoon. Would you say the resort is gay friendly? May be hard to answer , thanks

Yes we had a lesson in the pool first! It was amazing you totally should. I actually haven't seen any gay couples there, I don't think, but it doesn't seem like the type of place where that would be a problem (I say that with the understanding that I haven't had to deal with that type of discrimination, so I might not be particularly sensitive to the subtle signs)..

Sorry to say it, but your guy is right.... if you are paying your hard-earned money and they are in the business of customer service, you should get what you ask for....especially at a place like this resort.

Just because you pay for a "DISH" does not mean you can change the dish. A dish is a chef's creation. If it has something you do not like then do get it. Do you buy clothes off the rack and then at the same time have them to adjust the buttons or change the color ? No you do not. if you do, you're paying EXTRA for the adjustment.
