Fun fact- Candice took her name out of the running for best actress in a comedy series when she kept on winning for Murphy Brown to give other actresses a chance to win themselves. I loved watching Murphy Brown. That was one of my favorite shows back then.

One difference though, is that, at that point in Murphy's Brown's run, the material, clearly wasn't there for her anymore, and the overall quality of the show, itself, wasn't that great, and I think Candace may have realized that herself, while on the other hand, Veep and Julia Louis Dreyfuss is still up there with the very best comedic output on television, and most would agree, in the critic's world, still incredibly deserving of accolades.
