What you're calling "reactions" we call "reveals," the moment when we tell people it's Candid Camera. I've addressed this many times but here's a quick response to your comment. We don't always do reveals on camera, especially when (a) it's an observational piece with no dialogue, (b) when it's in a somewhat crowded place like a restaurant or coffee shop where a noisy reveal would tip everyone to what we're doing, and (c) on a shoot like this one we don't have a performer to do an on-camera reveal; it's just a camera crew and a producer. I agree, however, a few of these folks would have undoubtedly had nice reveals. (To be clear: everyone is told quietly, off-camera, what's happening and they sign a release at that time.) -Peter
