About 9 ft away for 100" which is how I had it set up here. For 200" I'm not sure but you would definitely need to be a bit further back.

the Q8 is the Android TV interface model. I think the picture was slightly more sharp on the RD830 in my testing. The interface is going to be different. On the Q8, the Netflix is built for tablets for example and isn't the easiest to navigate. If you plan on hooking up another streaming device anyway, the RD830 might be the better option.

I’ve been using silver screen paint as my screen for over 10 years. I just purchased this projector to replace my old Toshiba TDP ET20. What would you recommend using as a screen to get these colors to pop more? I think this is a solid projector but I want to get more out of the colors. A different paint or screen?

I use the CineWhite screen from Elite Screens (Sable Screen 2). In general, you can get more contrast I know with the gray screens, but I have not used any of those.

Does the Q8 or RD830 produce a better projected picture? Is it a noticeable difference? I just ordered the Q8, since it was the newer model, and had Apps built in. So I assumed it was the nicer model

Hey, how do you like the picture of the Q8? Have you tried it yet? It's not going to be a huge difference. If you're unhappy with it, then you can try out the RD830 but it is nice having the built in apps if you want to not worry about hooking up/purchasing another device.

does it overheat? how long can you use it without overheating? like binge watching? does it have any issues like black spots when it heats up etc..

No overheating noted in sessions of up to 4-5 hours at a time. The fans on it seem to do a pretty good job. I even used it with a Roku sitting on top of the actual projector body while watching too with no issues. I haven't seen any black spots or aberrations at all.

Hi thanks - I was about to return my 830 but then I watched both your videos and someone else thought it was superior to the Q8 as you mentioned! Question….Did you need to run your firestick into a power source or did it work off the USB port of the projector ?

Thanks for watching! I had my Roku Premiere plugged in to the wall, but you should be able to power the Fire Stick by USB on the projector!

Do you have issues with bluetooth disconnecting after 15min of video play? Im using a firestick and around 15 min the projector will kick off any bluetooth device its attached to. Ive tried several different speaker devices. Manufacturer gave me new projector, but im having the same issue. Im debating if I want to return for money back or try yet again a new projector from the company. I've also tried just using HDMI cable from my laptop (instead of firestick) and I'm still having the same problem.

Hmm that's weird. It sounds like some kind of firmware issue though. I had a very similar thing happen but it was with my MacBook and a Playstation controller where it would just shut off at 15 min. See if you have any updates for your Fire Stick maybe? (Settings>About>Updates)

I sent this projector back. Great picture but the colors aren’t good. Red is Hot Pink and Orange looks like Peach.

@@Gandio420 I did my own side by side comparison with the Wimius P64. I watched a Cincinnati Bengals vs Baltimore Ravens game and the Bengals helmets were peach. The picture was clean, crisp and bright. It would be a good projector if the colors were accurate

@@POCCITY15 hmm ya sports games are big for me so will have to compare it myself. I did a quick test of another movie seem ok but it was from my laptop feed they are usually off.
