Thank you for this. I have been OBSESSING over all of these videos for the past week and seeing how enthusiastic you are about them as well has made it so much better! I also learned about them during 2020. It’s one of my pandemmy discoveries. It’s nice to see them use some of the same dancers, although I had some favorites from their last album I wish returned. There is one dancer that’s new to this album that I’ve also seen a lot in fka twigs’ stuff ( I think she’s trans and she’s awesome!!! )

Yes, i really find it out that the vocalist(s) are basically singing jibberish. If i were to sit down and commit the lyrics to memory after reading them, i'd probably hear the songs differently, but without doing that, you just make out every few words. That HAS to be a conscious choice, right? Layer the vocals in reverb/echos/pitching up, an doing layers of over-dubs to create a beautiful vocal soundscape, but mostly hard to understand lines.
