I was obsessed with Elton from the age of 6, and this was the first time I saw him with my mum and late dad.. December 86 in Sydney... I’ve always loved this song and Marilyn. I had a very bad addiction to pain pills prescribed by my doctor after a severe accident…an addiction that brought me so close to dying. To be honest, there’s no explanation why I didn’t die on several occasions during the six years I was addicted. My mom had told me she had already planned to play this at my funeral, because she was certain I wouldn’t survive. I’ve been sober for 12 years now. I’m so thankful I was given a chance at life again, unlike so many others that lose the battle.

And if the sound of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra with "loneliness was hard ..." swells - just beautiful!
