I love the fact that Stella pops into your head when you smell this scent-too bad it can’t perform like it’s supposed to. I don’t often return candles but if somethings really bad and I’m on the cusp of a scent change for the season I will. I’m with your friend Deb though, if we don’t vote with our $ and return them when there’s a problem there is no incentive to them to make any changes for the better.

i know exactly what you mean! sometimes at the halfway point the wax will turn almost black. then the scent of the candle changes totally.. what i do is drain that black wax in tin foil… then trim the wicks. the scent comes back stronger again but what a pan in the butt and a waste of wax 😪

This is in stock online today. It's at the end of the 3 wicks for me. Cold dark rainy day here. Popped Scentsy's Cherry Almond Pie in warmers and burning BBW Merry Cookie and HW Coconut Shortbread. Now wondering why I'm hungry lol.

Hi Melanie, I was so happy when I began burning this candle. About half way point it smelled scorched, the wax turned ugly gray and it lost it's charm. In the crock it went. Seems to be a recurring theme with BBW candles these days.

That scent sounds lovely- I don’t burn candles and prefer a lightly scented space in our apartment. Sounds like a possibility for spring summer.

Melanie, I am so sorry your raspberries & whipped vanilla did not burn well. I bought 4 of these and burned one all the way down until it went out. The second one, I have maybe a partial burn left. I did not have the problems you have. I had zero soot. I did not keep the wicks as short as many of my other bbw which I think may have been one reason why I did not have problems. I bought 3 of mine from same lot, the 4th from another. I wanted to get another during the sale but all 4 of my stores (within 30 minutes) were sold out as well as online. I really think that all the candle companies have batch variations that are hit and miss and with bbw producing such a large mass they seem to have even more variations. I also use to use manicure type scissors to trim wicks and now use a wick trimmer which seems to make a big difference, at least for me. The wick trimmers I have found its best to replace every couple years to get a clean cut. I hope you are able to enjoy in your crock because you are right, it’s such a nice fragrance.

I just have issues every time a BBW candle has those thick wicks. They just soot every time after the half way point it seems. It's so frustrating because I still love so many of their scents. I think BBW is quickly just becoming a source of candle crock fodder for me lol. Which is ok. I actually get the scent, which I love... and I can burn other candles. I think I just miss the olden days of BBW.

I know burning Tropical Island Colada and I love the scent but the sooting is crazy....You would think they would fix this problem!

My prosecco and peaches is doing the same thing! It burned really well until the 1/2 mark! And I'm not 1 to take candles back at that point, but it does get discouraging! Thank you for sharing

I did buy 6 BBW candles during the 12.95 sale..............have not burned any of them yet. This is the first time in almost 3 yrs that I have bought a BBW candle. I truly enjoyed them in the beginning........such great scents...........during the holiday season the scents were great.........then I got a few duds and I quit buying them. I have watched quite a few reviews.......seems like not much has changed with the hit and misses. The increase in price is pure madness.......this sale was the best so far so I decided to go for it. Mostly have been buying Goosecreek and Homeworx candles which have been great. Will burn what I have and put candle buying on hold until Fall..........for me Fall, Winter, and Christmas candles always have the best scents..........I am not much of a candle burner in the summer................I enjoy melting wax...........thanks for sharing...........PEACE AND BLESSINGS.
