No-one did this song like Johan, it's kind of his signature song. Rob and Messiah came really close. Mats, unfortunately, doesn't. He's a decent, arguably even very good, metal vocalist who would grace so many other bands, but in Candlemass... Something in his vocal delivery is lacking, or, on the contrary, too much, I don't know what it is, can't explain it, but it just doesn't work for me. Maybe Mats doesn't evoke the right "atmosphere"? However, he can't make me stop missing Rob, but I guess he'd be much better if Leif would write new songs with/for him. I don't mean to be disrespectful, of course. I'm fully aware that Mats is a waaay better singer as I (and most others) could ever be!
