@@dremcghee6578 Well yes, your statement is true, not everyone probably liked him. But amongst most Metallica fans, overall everyone likes Cliff the most when compared to other members of the band. I personally like all members of Metallica, the only thing that I don’t like about them is how badly they treated Jason after Cliff’s passing. But yes they absolutely did many spectacular live shows after Cliff’s passing. No one could ever replace Cliff, but Jason did bring a lot to the table especially with live shows during his time in Metallica.

I saw them on March 4th, 1985 in a small 500 seat club in Colorado Springs. My 15th birthday. It was an all ages show. Seeing them becoming (arguably) the biggest band in the world still blows my mind. None of us early Metallica fans could ever have imagined that.

Cliff's awesome distorted tone makes me wish that Rob would tweak his. Anytime they perform "For Whom the Bell Tolls" or "Orion", Rob's tone sounds so weak. He needs to crank up the volume and distortion like Cliff, ffs.

There is no doubt in my mind that the cameraman IS a Metallica fan and knew the song. He knew all the music cues, when the vocals started, when and where to zoom, who to focus on at the right time... his photography was too good!

+Parasite James is pretty irreplaceable too. I can't picture Metallica with a different guitarist/vocalist. I could see Kirk being replaced if it comes to that, hopefully it doesn't. Sure he's been with the band since nearly the beginning, and he kicks ass, but I don't think he's as vital as James or Lars to the Metallica name

+Jim Ashton Lars could be replaced by a better drummer though. He is far from a capable drummer for thrash metal. Metallica could do better but he's been there so long, many fans would be livid. His fans won't admit that his technical abilities aren't really there and he just overall isn't a great drummer.

+Brandon M Yeah, Lars isn't as good as for example Lombardo or MANY others, but he's the brain of Metallica, and also he's the composer as he puts together best parts from hundreds of Kirk's and James' riffs. Besides he's takin' part in a lot of arrangements.
